Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A snowy Walk

This morning I got to go walking in the snow.
It was so nice! 😀
29 degrees and just a little breeze.

I Walked all around and up and down the streets in town.
Then over to the ball park and walked around there
a couple of times, and yes, those are my footprints.

I stopped to talk to a man I see sometimes when he drives by and waves to me.
This time he was in his driveway taking the snow off his car.
He likes the snow too. 🙂

From there I walked around both of the cemeteries.
First the lower one and then up the hill to the other one.

I thought I might see some one else walking because it
was snowing but there wasn't.
Yesterday I found a penny when walking.
Don't find many coins anymore.

Had to hang the sheets inside this week.
They dried on the drying rack over a heating vent.

Then I tackled a fun job changing everything around in our bedroom.
It took me all morning and a part of the afternoon as well.

This is how much I've done on Liz's throw so far.

Since this is the first snowfall of the season we get to start
working on jigsaw puzzles.
We picked one out and got started.
We picked out a few new ones to buy but haven't ordered them
yet so we are doing one we've already done before.

That's all for this snowy day.
Hope you had a great Monday.

The first fall of snow is not only an event,
but it is a magical event.

Karen, I do love the winter (even though it isn't winter until December), I love the snow! Your photos are very calming and beautiful! And your throw is coming along very nicely.
Thank you so much for sharing these stunning snow photos!!!

...you got a bit more that we did. Watch your step.

You got more snow than we did - we just got a dusting but it looked pretty on the leaves.
The throw is looking great!

What a surprise! The photos are lovely, especially the one with the streetlight. I like seeing you, too. The throw is a gorgeous color!

What a snowy day ... unlike the heavy rain I woke up to this morning! Thankfully it stopped by the afternoon.
I do like the colours in Liz's throw.
Enjoy doing your jigsaw puzzle and thanks for letting me know you think gusto was the right word :)

All the best Jan

We received only a dusting today really due to the wind blowing the snow. I know your walk in the snow was peaceful. I always think snow is like a quiet blanket.

We had snow here as well. It wasn't bad most of the day but the ride home from work was a bit scary tonight.

Ooh, it's snowing for you already? So fun! I wish it snowed here in North Carolina more often. Maybe this year it'll finally be a white Christmas for us. Happy Monday, K!
