Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Thursday

It rained all night and was still raining when I got up.
I decided to wait until later when it was light before taking my morning walk.

We had fried egg sandwiches for breakfast.
After doing the dishes I left for town to take my walk at 8:45.

The rain was supposed to stop for a couple of hours in the morning
but it never did and I walked in the rain.
At least the rain was just a misty drizzle instead of the downpour earlier.
It was 44 degrees and just a light breeze.

I walked around both of the cemeteries.

Then around town and over to the ball park and walked around
that loop a couple of times.

Even later in the morning didn't see any one else out and about.

I think this bush is a burning bush.
There are many of these bushes scattered throughout town.
Such a bright pretty color.

🎃    🌧    🍁

The rain stopped for a little while this afternoon
and the sun even came out.
Then the rain started up again.

I looked for a couple of CD's that I had put pictures on some
years ago and can't for the life of me remember where I put them.

While looking for them I found lots of other things I've saved
and spent the rest of the morning looking through them.
Pictures
Old letters
Some of my old report cards from grade school

My father had started writing down some of his memories
from when he was young and I came across that too.
It's just written down on notebook paper in pencil.
I'm going to type it up to preserve it.

Got some more knitting done on the scarf and now it's 54 inches long.
With just 6 more inches to go it will be done in time for Saturday
so I can give it to Emily.

Supper this evening is Hamburgers and Tater Tots
and we'll be eating it in just a little while.

Thanks for stopping by.
Hope you had a fantastic Thursday.

Hi Karen, your fried egg sandwiches for breakfast sounds delicious! It is very rainy here in Montreal today as well. Lovely photos.

Isn’t that the way it always is. You’re looking for one thing and find something else. No rain here since the weekend. We’re in the 70’s to 80’s but rain and clouds are working its way to us. I always look forward to the rain. ☔️

The bush is gorgeous, but the day looks rather dismal. What a fun surprise you found!

Looks like a soggy walk, but that first photo is pretty and mysterious looking.
What fun looking through those old things. I've been working on going through my Dad's old papers and photos and am putting them into a printed book. Fun to look back!
Yes, that looks like a burning bush. We have one just like it in our back yard.

Love the graphic and Scripture verse. They go perfectly together. I just came across that same Scripture in a book I am currently reading.

You look for one thing and end up finding many other "lost" items. Hopefully you find the CD's you were looking for.
