Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Monday

On the way to town there was a light drizzle that I didn't expect.
It stopped soon after I got to town and most of my walk was just cloudy.
The last few thousand steps it started drizzling again.
It was 48 degrees and no wind.
Sunrise 7:25

Walked up and down and all around town.
Then the ball park loop and both cemeteries.

The bulls in the pasture by the Drane house.

No one else out this morning.
Very quiet around town.

☁️    🌧    🎃   🐄

Rain stopped and it was just cloudy with a breeze so took a chance
and hung the sheets out on the line to dry.
Glad I did because there was no more rain.

Got started with the weekly house cleaning in the morning.

This afternoon got some more weave-it squares done
for the blue pillow.
Only 4 more to make.

David and Liz coming over for supper in just a little while.
We're having Chicken Enchiladas and I also made
a yellow cake with chocolate icing which is Liz's favorite.

That's it for today.
Hope your Monday was super duper.
❤️ HappyK 🤗

Meant to post this yesterday but forgot so here it is today.

That’s my favorite too - yellow cake with chocolate frosting. My mom made that all the time!

Like Linda I'm always amazed at the photos you get on your walk. I'm finding it hard to find something fresh at the moment.

Our last couple of walks needed rain coats and yet it was warm, quite pleasant walking really.
