Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A walk in daylight

My body is getting ready for the time change coming up
because I woke up at 7 instead of 6.
So I got to walk in daylight this morning.
It was 38 degrees with a mix of sun and clouds.

First I walked around both of the cemeteries.
The bulls have now been moved from the pasture by the Drane House
to the pasture behind the cemetery.
They have lots a room to roam around there!

Continued walking through and around town.
Road work getting done today and it was one lane
going through town.

Went up past our old house in town and then over to the
ball park to walk that loop.
Nice to see the chickens out again.
I got a kick out of the two in the cart.

Nice to see Kelly out walking too.
She was at the ball park.
It's been weeks since I've seen anyone.
We stopped to talk.
She said she's been exercising inside but just had to get outside. 🙂

From there I went back to the pond to the Jeep and home.

🍁    🎃    🍂    🥾

Got more housework done this morning.
Always feel good when the bathroom is sparkly clean.

We went to the library to pick up another DVD
and dropped off a couple too.
Stopped in at the doctors in town too.
Ken had to have a referral changed to another provider.

I've been knitting on the infinity scarf for Emily and it's now 34 inches.
When finished it will be 60 inches.

Thanks for stopping by.
Hope you had a great Tuesday.

Deb - No, I won't be making a granny square table runner.  It crocheted and that's something I don't do.

GrannyM - The icing in the cookies yesterday is Royal Icing and I used 5 drops of blue food coloring.  I made half of the icing recipe.

Lovely views, Karen. The chickens are a delight to see!

I read what you commented to Deb - I thought you did crochet, even though you clearly say, “ knit” my mind just goes to crochet. My mom crocheted and I used to - never learned to knit. When I was a teen, all the girls knitted. I was the only one who crocheted.

I agree - I love a sparkling clean bathroom too! I can crochet, but not knit, but I haven't crocheted for a long time.

I wish I could sleep in somedays but my body wakes up at 6 every morning . I always set my alarm but usually turn it off before it goes off.
The chickens are cute.

I'm in trouble with the time change because I keep waking up early! :)
Looks like a nice day for walking. It was a good day for it here too. Glad the bulls have lots of space to roam!

Those hens look so nice and healthy compared to ones that have to be inside in a crowded space.
I'm hearing rain hitting my window. Sounds like a wild night!
Thanks for answering my question about the cookies.

The chickens in the cart are funny. And that one in the center seems to be the runt!

I'm ready for the time change as well. I always like to gain that hour.
I'm getting ready to buy a walking pad since my area has so many hills. Eventually I'll walk outside again but for now, I'm getting my leg strength back up. I always love to read of your walking adventures. Imagine, seeing cows on your walks!

That was a nice walk. I enjoyed seeing the chickens. Wish we had a nice green lawn for our chickens to roam and peck in. I cut up kale greens every day to make sure our chickens get enough green.
