Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Turning Leaves

Got to town and started walking at 6:25 and it was 58 degrees, cloudy, and calm.
A little while later at 6:49 was sunrise.

Walked all around town first with a stop off at the library
to drop off a book and DVD down the slot.
Then walked around the ball park.

A little bit later it started to rain.
Headed back to the Jeep to get the umbrella and by the
time I got there the rain stopped.

Continued walking around both of the cemeteries.

Most all the trees are still green but there are some that
have already started turning colors.
This tree is in the front yard of our old house in town.

Saw a new walker out this morning.
Perhaps I'll see her again.

Though I got a bit wet, the sun came out and
by the time my walk was over I was dry.

☁️    🌧    🌤

We went out and about this morning getting some errands done.

The high today was 77 and I couldn't knit on the temperature blanket
because I've run out of the yellow color I need.
Have to order another skein.
In the meantime, I'll just keep track.

The pizza dough has risen and Ken is just about to make our pizza.

Hope your Friday was a good one.
Thanks for stopping by.

The sky is gorgeous! It looks like fall and matches the tree. And the sun on the corn is beautiful.

Wow, what a breathtaking sunrise! The landscape seems to be preparing for the embrace of autumn, with leaves beginning to transition and the graceful formation of geese gliding through the sky. I can't help but feel a tinge of envy at such Autumn beauty.

That was a gorgeous sunrise. The corn with the sun shining on it is beautiful too. It only made it to 70 here today and was very windy.
Your homemade pizza sounds good!

I haven't noticed many trees turning yet but it won't be long

Enjoyed all the photos especially the corn. We saw some changing color here on the westside of our state. We are visiting our West side kids until Monday.
