Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Monday

 A nice sunny morning walk.
It was 48 degrees and no wind.
Sunrise 6:45

Walked around the two cemeteries to start.

On the way to the ball park took this picture from the other side of the pond.

At the ball park I saw that the Pickle Ball court is finally
finished now that the net is there.
Wonder if anyone will actually use it.
Maybe Ken and I should give it a try!

Walked back to the pond and then up and down the main street.

Since it was Labor Day not much happening around town.

Mountain Ash tree against the bright blue sky looked quite pretty.

The only person I saw was Rebecca out walking around town with Leo.

🥾    ☀️    🥾

Saturday Ken came down with a cold that he caught from me.
And we tried to be so careful.
I washed my hands so many times!!!!!

Today I got the sheets and another load of laundry done
and out on the line.
Did a bit of the weekly house cleaning.

Made a few more weave-it squares for the pillow I'm making
and of course read a little too.

That's going to be it for today.
Hope you had a wonderful Monday.
Thanks for stopping by.

This Ash tree against the blue sky IS gorgeous! and I like the sun shining through the dust in the first photo. Hey, I finally made your chicken a'la king last night. It was delicious!!! And no work at all!

The pond looks so pretty with the mist rising from it.

I’ve never played pickleball. Years ago I enjoyed playing tennis until I blew out my elbow. LOL. All my sport endeavors of my youth are haunting my body now.
I had a feeling Ken would get it. It’s always that way for us. We share everything!

Hi Karen. Pickleball is really big around here where I live, but Charly and I have never played it. Sorry to hear that Ken got the virus you had. I hope he feels better soon! Have a good Tuesday. See you then!

The Mountain Ash sure is a pretty tree. The way you caught it, against the blue sky, that's a great picture.
I hope Ken's cold doesn't hang around long. Do you have a favourite remedy for colds?

Oh no, sorry to hear Ken caught your cold. I don't know the first thing about pickle ball. I didn't realize it used a net like that.

Pretty sunrise! I am sorry Ken is sick with the cold.
My hubby and I shared a cold last month.
Happy September, enjoy your day and the week ahead.

I love the calm, detailed way you share your day. The mix of nature, small-town sights, and personal projects makes it feel cozy and relatable.

Pickle ball has gotten so popular here, my daughter's church has a pickle ball team! Gee, send me some of those cool mornings, it's still so hot here even in the am. Hope you and Ken get over the colds soon, they can make you so miserable.

Hope the cold Ken borrowed will be a whiz to get rid of. That is a nice looking pickle ball court and being fenced insures you won't have to run far to retrieve wayward balls.

Yes, those colds pass like wildfire despite the care you take. I think it's just in the air and folks have to breathe so.....! Hope Ken gets to feeling better real soon. Love, Andrea xoxo
