Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Wednesday

A cloudy morning walk for me today.
Temperature 70 degrees and calm.
Only saw one deer on my way to town and it was a buck.

Walked around both of the cemeteries.
Went down to the barn by the Drane house.
The bulls are now in the barnyard.
Lots of grass there now.

Looks like the Drane house is getting some work done on the back.

Walked down the other way from the cemetery too and went to the long barn.
The Speckled Park cows are still isolated in the barn from the rest of the herd.
These two couldn't be bothered to get up for a picture.

Next my walking took me down the main road back towards home
with a detour up Barn Sale Road on the way back to town.

Never made it around town at all.
Had all my basic steps in plus a couple thousand more.

Didn't see anyone else out but Farmer Marvin waved as he drove by.

☁️    🐄    🌼    🚶‍♀️

We had some thunderstorms with lots of rain come rolling though
a few times today.

I got the weekly housework finished up today.
The rest of the week I just have to do the everyday stuff.

Knitted this afternoon.
I working on a shawl for a friend.

Ginny - Yes, I was the one in black in the picture yesterday.  I probably wouldn't do a big picture but thought maybe some greeting cards.

Deb - Kids here go back to school the day after Labor Day.

Happy Birthday to Patty.
Those speckled park cows look quite content.
Now that we are retired, I think I should get on some type of housework schedule. I'm curious about how you have structured yours as it seems like you are so good at keeping to your schedule.

...we got 1/10th of a inch of rain overnight. The Speckled Park cows sure are interesting.

I always enjoy seeing the bulls and cows. I'm glad they are so good about keeping up the Drane house.

That's a very big bull standing by that blue thing that I'm guessing is a scratching post??? I may be totally wrong about that.
