Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Foggy morning

A foggy ride to town this morning, it was 60 degrees and calm.

Sunrise was at 6:30.

Tomorrow is Anna's birthday.
She is the young woman who walks around the ball park loop
sometimes with her dad.
I walked over to their house first thing
and tacked a birthday card for her on their mailbox post.

Then continued walking to the ball park and around the loop a couple of times.  Thomas was there running his laps.

I stopped to watch the little chicks.
A couple of them flew up on the cart and then flew off again.
They did that a few times.

Didn't see it today but a groundhog has made his home
under these logs.

Walked all around town and then back to the pond
and around one of the cemeteries.

By that time the sun was shining.

🌫    ☁️    🌤    🤗

Last evening while knitting I noticed a mistake a few rows back.
Put it aside and left it to fix this morning.
I spent a good part of the morning fixing that mistake.
Had to back knit 4 rows.
But happy to say I'm back on track again.

Got a crock pot of chili going first thing this morning.

We made a trip to the dump.
You just pull up to a dumpster and throw household trash in it.
If you have other items, there are other dumpsters for those items.
There is an attendant there that directs you where to go
but we all throw our own stuff in the dumpsters.

Made a stop at the library for a couple of books
that were ready for me to pick up.

The rest of the afternoon was spent doing a little off this and that.

Thanks for stopping by.
Hope your Friday was a great one.
❤️ HappyK 🤗

Hi Karen. How far away is the dump from your house? How often do you take the trash there? Sounds like you had a good Friday. See you again soon!

All the best Jan

You had fog; we had rain. Very welcome rain too except there is a special music thing scheduled for the park this evening. I wonder if it will be cancelled.

I always enjoy your foggy morning pics.
The chicks are growing fast.
We have a landfill we can bring things to but the minimum cost is $80! So it's not something we use often.

I'm playing "catch up" this evening and visiting with you. Love the way things work at your dump. It sounds similar to ours.

And I especially love the Bible verse at the end of today's post. Hope you have a wonderful weekend, Karen.
