Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Diamond Art

A mix of sun and clouds this morning as I walked
around my town.
The temperature was 63 and calm.
Sunrise 6:27

On my way to town I had to stop to let a doe and her
twin fawns cross the road who were in no hurry to do so.

First walked around the cemetery on the hill.
Then around town and over to the ball park and around there.
Some more around town and then lastly around the other cemetery.

A few cloud pictures this morning.

The only person I saw was Bill the town worker who keeps
our town neat and tidy.

I can see the baby chicks getting bigger already.
They were so cute running all over the yard.

🌤    🌸    🥾

Left immediately after breakfast to go to Walmart for food shopping.
Wanted to go early because I had to be back in time to go
to the library by 11:30 to do Diamond Art.
I had never heard of Diamond Art until three different blogger
friends talked about it.
So when the library offered a class I signed up.
15 of us showed up for it and what a fun time we all had.
I was surprised and happy to see my little friend Kinsley and her mom there.

Here we are working on a our little projects.

I made a butterfly.

Mia, the librarian took this picture and sent it to me.
Sophie, Mikie, me, and Mia (not the librarian).
Mikie and Mia also come on Saturday for Needleworks.

I stuck my butterfly in one of the African Violets over the kitchen sink.

Now I have yet another thing to do to keep me busy! :)

That's going to be it for today.
Hope you enjoyed your Tuesday.
Thanks for stopping by.

Hurrah, I finally get to see you! You are the one wearing black, right? Diamond art is so gorgeous! There is a large one hanging in my doctor's office. I had to ask them what is was and how I could get it. But Diamond art seems so tiny and tedious, would you make a larger one, what did you think of it? there are lots of gorgeous ones on Amazon.

Hi Karen. Diamond art looks like a lot of fun! Very creative projects! With so many younger people in the picture, I'm guessing that your schools haven't started up again yet. Have a good evening. See you again tomorrow!

Never heard of diamond art. Is it made with real diamonds? Now watch, I’ll start seeing it everywhere.

Love your butterfly. I can do little projects like this but the big ones I think are too much for me. They do pass the time quickly and I tend to get lost in the process.

Lovely to see all of your photographs, especially the one with you and the butterfly. It does look nice in your African violet pot.

All the best Jan

what a cute butterfly you made!! I'll have to google "diamond art" and ask my Art major daughter if she's heard of it. I never had.
