A cloudy walk around town this morning.
64 degrees and calm.
Sunrise 6:35
Rebecca was out walking too and saw her two different times.
First walked over to the library and dropped a book down the slot.
Then continued around town and went to the ball park
Walked around there a couple of times.
The chickens were scattered all over the yard.
The little ones sure are growing fast.
Walked some more around town and then both of the cemeteries.
That ended my walk.

Blanket Day this morning so drove to church right after breakfast.
Not calling it Blankets for Babies because we make them for
the nursing homes now too.
When we couldn't bring the blankets to the hospital for the babies
anymore we started bringing them right to the doctors office.
That worked fine in the beginning but doesn't seem to be working anymore.
They don't seem to be getting handed out and we have LOTS of blankets.
One of the ladies will be looking into the problem.
So for now we are concentrating on the seniors.
Blankets are bigger of course and it would take 140 weave-it squares
for me to make a bigger blanket.
It would take me too long to make them.
Also being made are pillows so I'm going to try to make
a pillow out of weave-its.
This afternoon after lunch I made some macaroni salad.
David is coming over after work to have supper with us.
Having hamburgers with the salad.
Liz is in Florida visiting her daughter.
Watched the deer wander around out back.
A mama and twins.
That's all I have for today.
Thanks for stopping by
and hope your Thursday was a great one.

Debby - No, the barn is not ours. It is our neighbor Aaron's barn and his farm. The road we live on dead ends at his property.

Hi Karen, your photos are lovely, so wonderful to see the chickens and deer! Your meal of a salad and hamburgers sounds delicious! I am sure you will do a great job making a pillow!
Sad about the blankets not being given out at the doctors office. We had patty melts for dinner tonight with corn on the cob. Janice
My son has a mama and two fawns visit every evening. He feeds them apples and carrots.
...the blankets might be good for cancer patients. Our granddaughter Liza was given a couple of blankets.
I hope you can find a solution to the blankets. Nice seeing the deer hanging out.
That's a shame about the blankets. Hope you find a solution. That would be a lot of squares to make for a big blanket
That's a beautiful photo of those flowers. I love seeing the deer too.
I hope a solution is found for the blankets!
What sweet deer! It is too bad about the blankets. I'm thinking what about homeless shelters? They always need this kind of thing.
Such beautiful pictures of the deer out back. And your supper sounds yummy!
I do hope a solution is found for the blanket issue. Those flowers are lovely and isn't deer watching the best?!
A shame about the blankets, I do hope you find a solution.
Nice to see the chickens, deer and the colourful flowers.
All the best Jan
Hi Karen. I love the pictures of the deer in your yard. It's nice that you are making blankets for the seniors. I am sure they are appreciated. Has your group looked into donating blankets to a crisis pregnancy center? I hope you have a good Friday!
That rock bridge is lovely. I guess the deer like it too.
I used to work as a parenting instructor in a crisis pregnancy center and I know we would have LOVED homemade blankets for the babies and toddlers. Also, how about suggesting giving them out at your local homeless shelter or women's shelter/domestic violence center? another thought is an infant day care.
LOVE the pics of the deer!
