Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A Sunshiny Day

This morning there was a mix of sun and clouds when I walked.
The temperature was 63 degrees and calm.

Today I saw Lena walking and we stopped to talk and
later saw Sheila run past me.

I first walked around the lower cemetery and then up to
the other cemetery.
I walk up the hill with corn growing on both sides.

Walked around town and then around the ball park loop.

The pickle ball court is still not ready for playing.
They have now painted blue and green over the red that it was painted.
Still needs the lines and a net.

Continued walking around town some more and past my old house.
Through town and down toward home before turning around and
getting back to the pond.

I spotted an old porch swing in all these weeds.

Some pretty red petunias by a mailbox I walked passed.
It must make Tonya, the letter carrier smile each day.

Another delightful walk.

🌤    🌻    🚶‍♀️

It's Saturday again and time for some needlework to get done
at the library.

Four of us regulars were there and we had two more people
join us this time who said they would be back next week.
Our little group keeps getting bigger.
If everyone shows up one week we might run out of chairs.🙂

Today we didn't just have a sunny afternoon but a whole day of sunshine.

Another afternoon to sit out on the front porch.

That's all for today.
Thanks for stopping by.
Hope your Saturday was a happy one.

Amen to Joni’s quote.

The red petunias are so pretty and bright. Love that first photo. It’s getting dark earlier here.

Seeing the title of this blog post made me think of the Johnny Nash song which has those words in it ...

The petunias in that hanging basket are beautiful.

All the best Jan

If the pickle ball court is going to be used this year yet then hopefully those last details will be added soon.
Those red petunias sure are a splash of colour💗.
