Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Rainy Walk

This morning when I walked it was 68 degrees and raining.
The rain started on the drive to town.
Didn't know it was supposed to rain but I keep the umbrella in
the Jeep now just in case.
There was no wind so I was able to use the umbrella.

I walked around both of the cemeteries, the ball park and
all around town.

No others out walking at this time.

The rain stopped for the last couple thousand steps.
It was actually nice walking in the rain.
Only thing bad about it was that my nice clean car is once again dirty.

🌧    🤗    ☔️

Since the rain stopped I was able to wash the sheets and
get them out on the line to dry.
We did have some more showers during the day with periods of sun too.

Got some of the weekly house work done as usual on this Monday.

I'm now knitting a baby hat to match the blanket and slippers I knitted.
Fallon, Liza's daughter found out that her baby is a girl.
I guess this will make me a step-great-gramma. 🤗

I know it's only Monday but we both felt like pizza so that's
what we made for supper.

Hope your Monday was a happy one.
Thanks for stopping by.
❤️ HappyK 🤗

Hi Karen, here in Montreal we got severe thunderstorms yesterday that caused flooding in some areas, as we received 100 mm of 🌧 rain!!!
Today, the heat 🥵 🔥 and humidity are back and their is smoke as well due to wildfires. The air quality is very bad.
I am glad you got to take a lovely walk and that you got some rain as well. I really appreciate your posts and thank you so much for sharing your life's journey. ❤️

I made a typo, I meant there is smoke. LOL 😂

...I'm not a fan of walking in the rain, but since it's so dry it sounds good.

Sometimes it's good to walk in the rain.
Here in the UK we could do with some!

All the best Jan

Hi Karen. Thanks for the email about the air fryer. That information and your thoughts are very helpful! We could sure use some rain here. We are having a very hot and dry summer. Fallon's baby is lucky that she has such a nice and talented great-step-grandma! When will the sweet baby make her appearance in the world? We had pizza for dinner too, but we picked it up at a pizza place instead of making our own. Homemade pizza would have been better. Have a good evening and a good Tuesday. See you then!

The rain was something we needed for the garden and it was nice gentle rains.

Pizza sounds yummy.

I wouldn’t mind at all for some rain. ☔️

My favorite is your second photo. The beautiful shot of the wet pathway through the cemetery with the trees on each side. And kind of misty in the background.

Our truck ( the one in the shop waiting for parts) is black and so quick to need washing. We're noticing that the car we're driving now (which is white) stays clean much longer. Strange how often it rains right after one washes the vehicle :(
