Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Farm Loop

Another morning with a mix of sun and clouds for walking.
65 degrees and calm.

Today I walked around the farm loop.
Here is where I turn off the main road.

Farmer Bill was working on his tractor and gave me a
wave as I walked by.

There is a another church along this route too.

One of the farms I pass by.

The other crop that is grown around here is soy beans.

Here's another view of the Drane house from the road I'm on back to town.

No one else walking along my route.

A friend from church was sitting out on her porch and said
hi as I passed by.

I thought these flowers were pretty!

🌼    🌤    😊

The 6 chicken breasts were finally thawed this morning.
I put 3 in the slow cooker with BBQ sauce.
The other 3 I put in marinade and left in the refrigerator for the day
and cooked it in the air fryer for supper.
We also had a baked potato and salad.

We made a trip to the dump to get rid of more stuff from the garage.
I think we're about done now.

Before I go out of the house anywhere I always have the bed made
and no dishes in the sink.
I always tell Ken if I die when I'm out I want to have the
bed made and no dishes in the sink.
He always laughs at me.

After lunch I went outside and washed the Jeep.
It sure needed it.
Ken cleaned inside of the truck.

Had a nice big glass of water and sat on the porch for a bit.

Hope you had a great day.
Thanks for stopping by.

Debby - The planters were made in the 50's and 60's by a various companies.  I've never looked each one of mine up.  I just bought them because I liked them.  The one from my gramma is older but I know nothing about it.  I should find out who made my planters and what they are worth. It will be a project for me. I know that the boy and girl by the well on the second shelf are Jack and Jill planters.

The flowers are beautiful!
I always have my bed made and the dishes taken care of before I leave too. Who wants to come home to that?
Your photos today are welcoming. I think a community with lots of churches, farms, cows, open land is a great place to live!

Yep, I always make the bed and clean up the kitchen. I can't stand for it to be messy.

Thanks for the info - they sure are cute. Now watch, I’ll start seeing them when I visit antique stores.

I always have my bed made and my dishes washed before I go out (at least I try to be that way, sometimes it doesn't work).
