Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

More rain

61 degrees this morning for walking.
It was cloudy and a bit windy.
Rained after I got home.

Walked around both cemeteries first and then over to the ball park
to walk that loop.
Went all around town up and down all the streets.

Friday must have been the last day of school because didn't see
any school buses out this morning.

Spotted a couple of rabbits at the cemetery.
They stayed still just long enough so that I could take their picture.
Hard to see but there they are.

The pond fountain was not working and Bill was there
trying to fix it.

Didn't see anyone else out walking but yesterday I saw 4 others.
Don't often see people out on a Sunday morning.

☁️    🥾   ðŸ™‚

It was a pretty dreary day with clouds and rain until 5:30
this evening and then out came the sun.
Late in the day but still nice to see.

We had to go to the dump today.
The few bags we had in the garage were starting to smell.
Have to go more often when the weather warms up.

We didn't come right home after the dump but went for
a little ride going down some roads that we hardly ever travel.
We don't do that much any more.
I think one reason is that we have to drive pretty far to go anywhere
so just don't go for rides.

Should have taken a couple pictures but didn't think of it till
we got back home.

As always had some time for reading and knitting.

A simple supper of hotdogs and baked beans.

Happy Monday
and thanks for stopping by.
🤗 Happyk ❤️

Your photos are lovely! I hope we get some rain here in Montreal as well, it is getting kind of hot and humid, it would be so refreshing! Your supper of hot dogs and baked beans sounds very good!

Here in KY we are still getting rain everyday, heavy at times. It is now very humid too. I worked on some weeding this morning :( Yes, hot dogs and baked beans sound excellent.

Your supper sounds delicious. Ours was "clean out the fridge" night. Carroll brought in a head of Chinese Cabbage this afternoon, so I fried bacon, threw the cabbage in the bacon grease, then when it was tender I added in some brown rice from the fridge, along with some leftover stir fry from yesterday. When everything was heated up, I cracked an egg and mixed it in. We added a few red pepper flakes to it when we ate it. I think we were both surprised how good it tasted! lol

The little bunnies are so cute!

Rain isn't nice for walking in but you always get great pictures when it rains.
We love to go driving on roads we haven't been on before.

We've had a good bit of rain lately and still have it in our forecast for rest of the week. It's good for our yard and bushes but it makes the days dreary.

Simple dinners can be the best. Love the low lying clouds in your first photo!

Sometimes, just going for a ride is fun and relaxing. That's one reason we enjoy road trips. You and Ken even make taking your garbage to the dump a happy time. Hot dogs and baked beans sounds yummy! See you again tomorrow!

I’d love some summer rain for a day.

It seems like many areas are getting more rain than they'd like while others are in need of rain. I spied the bunnies near the cemetery. Cute.

Love that first picture. I seem to forget to take pictures lately when I go anywhere. Hot dogs and baked beans is a perfect summer supper.

I love exploring roads I've not been on before, but I usually do it with my daughter in law and son. So many areas in the National Park that we've explored.

Am hoping for some rain but not the sever weather they are expected tomorrow. I did spot the bunnies. Janice

We used to go for rides a lot too. We would just pick a road and drive it until it ended or we got tired of driving. We don't too much anymore especially with the price of gas.

You have been getting your fair share of rain for sure. Sounds like a good all around day!
