Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Farm Loop

64 degrees this morning for walking.
Mostly cloudy but there was a little sun around too.
Sunrise 5:49 and now the sun rise is getting a little later each morning..

I walked the Farm Loop this morning.
A nice peaceful walk.
There are 6 farms I pass by.
No people about - hardly ever see anyone walking this route.
I'm about a 1/2 mile or so off the main road at this point.

A bit farther down the road.

This donkey lives at the farm in the above picture.
There are usually 2 donkeys and a couple of llamas but today
I just saw the one donkey.

A couple more pictures along my way.

I saw a red tailed hawk,
a couple of red winged black birds, and a killdeer.

☁️    ⛅️    🫏     😊

I washed and hung out the sheets to dry.
Took a chance because it looked like rain and we left to go food shopping.

Thought about going to the Shop and Save but we had to go to Lowe's
and Walmart is just down the road so decided to go to Walmart.

It rained while we were in Walmart but it didn't rain at the house
so the sheets were dry.
We had a couple of rain showers later in the afternoon.

We sat out back on the deck for awhile.
Then just puttered around the house till it was time to make supper.
We had macaroni and cheese and peas.

Thanks for stopping by.
Hope your day was a good one.
🤗 HappyK ❤️

You see so many awesome critters and nature on your walks! So much better than walking in the city.

Looks like a scenic walk in the early morning hours. That's the only way I will walk the country roads. I had a scare when we first moved here, when a gal was on her phone and swerved and almost hit me. It's a good thing I was looking...
I didn't know Ken was in the Navy for 20 years. My husband served 10 years Navy and 10 years Coast Guard and retired. MY youngest son served in the Navy for 6 years out in the Persian Gulf, on the flight deck of the USS Theodore Roosevelt.

How beautiful and green your walk was! I love the donkey, too! Your supper sounds like it was very tasty and satisfying.

I would love that walk, such pretty scenery and I love walks!
I hear that verse most often at Christmas, but it applies every day!

I enjoyed the walk and seeing the donkey. Is it a Jerusalem donkey I wonder?

Beautiful pictures as always, HappyK. I'm glad you folks got rain. We here in northernmost Indiana need rain desperately. It's supposed to rain today but the sun keeps peeking out so who knows. Everything is so dry. ~Andrea xoxo

Sounds like you had a good walk and it's great it didn't rain on your clean sheets! I do a lot of 'puttering' too. :-)
