61 degrees this morning when I started for town.
Diving to town a couple of deer, two rabbits, and
one lone ground hog ran across the road.
It was a cloudy morning and looked like rain was coming soon.
But then I started to see a bit of blue sky and after a while
I even saw the sun!!
First walked around both of the cemeteries.
Passing by the pond on my way up the hill I saw the 2 geese
families across the water.
(about in the middle of the picture)
Closer to me some geese stopped at the pond for a while.
Then flew up and away.
4 are easily seen but there is a 5th one too.
The first of the corn that Farmer Marvin planted have sprouted.
You can barely see them.
They've sure had enough water.
Now they need some sun.
Next I headed over to the ball park and walked around there.
Then back to the Jeep to pick up a book which I took to the
library and put it down the slot.
Continued walking up and down the main road in town and some
side streets and that completed this mornings walk.
No people about but I did see a tiny fawn at the edge
of the cemetery where mama put her.
I startled it because it hopped up and ran a little way off
and hid behind a bush.
First time in three days that I didn't come home wet.
☁️ 🙂 🌥
Got the sheets and another load of clothes out on the line first thing
and by lunch time everything was dried and the sheets were back on the bed.
Did a few other house chores for the week.
Seems like I just get done, then the week is gone and I
have to start all over again.
But that's the way it is with housework.
Housework is what a woman does that nobody notices unless she hasn't done it.

Still haven't seen any birds come to the feeder we made so we bought
one and hung in out by the one we made today hoping it will attract birds.
We may not have birds but we've been feeding the chipmunks.
Now there are three of them.
We need the barn cats to come by!!!
I've started another weave-it baby blanket but this one isn't for
Blankets for Babies at church.
Liz (David's partner) is going to be a grandma come January
so this one is for her grandbaby.
Her daughter lives in Florida so I'm using a thinner yarn than I usually do.
As usual I sat out on the porch and did a little reading.
Supper tonight was spaghetti and we used the sauce from
when we cooked Italian sausage in sauce in the crock pot.
Also had a small salad with it.
That's going to be it for this Monday.
Hope you had a great day and
thanks for stopping by.

I used to have a kitchen plaque that said “ Housework is something you do that nobody notices until you don't do it.“. I don’t have it anymore.
Now does Farmer Marvin have vegetable stand? Are there Farmers Markets in your town?
I always like seeing that church, it has such a pretty steeple. We had crazy weather today - it went from dark and pouring to sunshine several times. It's only 56 degrees right now.
So sweet to see that little fawn.
We put a little bubbler fountain next to our deck and there was a little bird in it already.
Love the housework quotes!
...corn is coming up here too, but it's yellow from so much rain. Be well.
It tried to spit rain here this afternoon, but just a little raincloud passed over. Please do share your latest blanket. Janice
So nice to see the Canada geese again as well as the lovely views from your walk. We are getting some rain here in Montreal today, which is a relief, as I can breathe in fresh air and open the windows after the heat, humidity and smoke from the wildfires over the last couple of days.
Love your quotes on housework, and it is so true that it is an ongoing thing.
Thank you so much for sharing.
Too bad you're not getting birds at your feeder. It's disappointing but maybe the new one will be more to the bird's liking. We're disappointed in how few birds come to our bird bath but suspect the presence of Miss Kitty is keeping them away.
Such beautiful reflections in your third photograph.
All the best Jan
I like your quotes about housework. Chipmunks are even better than birds!
What a lovely day, my friend. Fresh sheets are one of my favorite things. Lovely pictures!
It was hard to tell early this morning what the weather was going to be today. It turned out to be a nice day.
Enjoyed your pictures... especially the one of the blue sky.
Enjoyed visiting today, hope you have a great week!
Hooray for a dry walk this morning. Enjoy the new week ahead!
I had spaghetti last night for dinner too.
Nice that you finally got a dry walk. That corn is off to a good start. Whenever I see a corn field I always think of the saying knee high by the 4th of July.
Those quotes about housework are so true. Plus the only time someone comes to visit is on a day when you skipped the housework.
The birds are returning the seeds I put on the feeder last week. They found a better feeding place elsewhere. God bless.
Love the photos, especially the view of the pond and geese.
The Housework quote are cute.
I am sure the birds will find your feeder.
Take care, have a wonderful day!
Noooooo, you don't need the barn cats to come by. Then you really won't see any birds & the chipmunks will leave too. We don't have many cats out this way but when we do, I humanely trap them & off they go to my rescue friends. Spayed/neutered, blood tested, vaccinated, treated for worms & fleas & anything else they might have, and off they go to an inside foster home & then inside permanent home. Cats are not a part of the wildlife food chain. All they do is destroy whatever they can get their sharp claws on. They can wipe out a whole colony of birds in one or two days. I love them, as I love all animals, but they don't belong loose outside. If they're used for pest control in barns, they should be neutered/spayed first. That helps to take away the wanderlust in them, to go to other places. Love, Andrea xoxo
Glad you got to walk and stay dry! We have so many birds at our feeder we can't keep it full!
Lovely to have an early morning walk, great photo of the geese flying.
Our laundry fairy doesn't visit nearly often enough!
