Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Cows

Great walking weather this morning.
57 degrees with a mix of sun and clouds.

Started walking back down the main road which I just drove up.
Turned around after 1/2 miles and headed back to town.
Made a detour and went up Sale Barn Road.

Some of Farmer Marvin's cows and calves have been put in the
pasture along the road.
Lots of good grasses to eat here.

Walked back the rest of the way to and through town,
up and down a few side streets, and around the ball park loop.
Continued back to the Jeep and the end of my walk.

Quiet around town this Friday morning.
Didn't see any others out.

It's Friday so I have another engraved gravestone to show you.

ðŸŒĪ    ðŸŠĶ    😊    ðŸŒŧ

I baked the last batch of chocolate chip cookies for Bible Time.
That makes a total of 21 1/2 dozen. 🍊

Kept some of the cookies to bring to the library tomorrow
when I meet the ladies for Needleworks.
Last week I told them I was baking cookies and they all
wanted some too. 🙂🍊

Our garden shed was supposed to be delivered today but we got
a call and said they wouldn't be able to make it today.
Another delivery was posing a problem because of mud.
A little disappointed but that's the way it goes.

A good sunny day in between rainy days so got two loads
of laundry washed and hung out to dry.

When I went to take the clothes off the line there was a deer
roaming around at back.
I like that she just looked up at me and then continued eating
and didn't pay any attention to be taking in the clothes.
She is so used to us.

One of the ladies at Blankets yesterday asked if I would knit her
a scrubby so I started knitting that this afternoon.

Always look forward to our homemade pizza on Fridays for supper.

Hope your Friday was a sunny one.
Thanks for stopping by.

GrannyM - There are bears around and people often see them. They are around our property too but we don't see them very often and when we do they just run away.

I thought of you this morning and the sun was shining! I knew where you would be and I'm glad that you had sunshine to walk in today. I enjoyed some time in one of the flower beds today.

That's a lot of cookies, but I know the kids will love you for giving of your time to make them.

How thoughtful of you to take some to the library tomorrow.

Sunshine and laundry on the line for me as well today. Nice that the deer coexists :)

These pale colored cows are pretty, we don't see them around here.

Hi Karen! There are sure lots of cows and they have some good pasture to graze in. I know the kids in Bible Time enjoy the cookies you bake for them. Sorry to hear that your shed was delayed, but I'm sure it will be there soon - probably tomorrow or Monday. Have a good weekend. See you again soon!

I love that second photo! What a gorgeous view.
How amazing that couple was married for 70 years.
I'm sure your library ladies will enjoy the cookies.

Farmer Marvin's cows are treated very well. That looks like lush grass. Hopefully your garden shed will be delivered soon.

I bet the cows are enjoying that pasture..
Too bad about the shed. At least they called and let you know that the delivery would be delayed.

I *love* cows!! Those that you walked by, HappyK, seemed to say "Well, good morning, walker-friend. So glad you're out enjoying the fresh air like we are this morning. Would you care to partake of some grass with us?" :-) ~Andrea xoxo

It's nice to see the cows in the green fields. Good for you for baking all those cookies! The kids will love them and by now the stitching ladies will be enjoying them, too. Our kids had 4 cows appear on their property yesterday. They had to call the owner to come get them. :)

My hubby looked at your photos today. It is just beautiful and reminds us so much of traveling in the Northeast...the rolling green fields. Enjoy your weekend and the nice weather!
