Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

37 years🚶‍♀️

It was chilly at 37 degrees this morning when I started walking.
It was sunny and no wind so it was really pretty nice.
By the time my walk was done it was 43 degrees.
Sunrise 5:50

This morning I walked back down the main road towards home a ways.

Then turned around and headed back to town.

A little bit up the road I spotted a rabbit in the grass.

Continued on through town and up and down some side streets
and then over to the industrial park.
Walked around there and then back to the Jeep.

Nothing happening around town and didn't see any one.
A very quiet and peaceful walk.

This month is my anniversary for taking morning walks.
I started back in 1988 when I was 37 years old.
Friday was my birthday and I was 74.
That means I've been taking morning walks
HALF OF MY LIFE!!!

☀️    🌼    🙂

Good day for washing clothes and did two loads.
The sheets were already dried by the time the second load was done.
By the way, I'm still liking my new washing machine!

Bible Time I think is going to be the second week in July.
I always bake cookies for it along with some other women.
We each bake 20 dozen and I got 4 1/2 dozen baked this morning.
I'll freeze them.

After lunch we went out and did a few errands.
We have been talking about having a garden shed and stopped
by a place that makes them JUST TO LOOK.
Well, our just looking turned into buying one.
We are getting one made in the same colors as our house.
The price was VERY reasonable which is why we aren't going
to build one ourselves.
By the time we buy all the materials we wouldn't be saving all that much money.
Delivery is free and we should have it in 2 weeks.

So far we haven't seen any birds 🐦‍⬛ at the feeder Ken made
but the chipmunk likes it.🐿️
Still hoping the birds will find it and like it too.

Tonight for supper was a 'fend night'.
I had left over pizza.

That's all I have for today.
Hope you had a great Monday
and thanks for stopping by for a visit.
🤗HappyK❤️

Janice - I think maybe those pretty purple wildflowers you mentioned along the side of the road are Dame Rocket, they are out here too.

We love Chipmunks! I hope you post the shed when you get it. We, also, had a shed made to match our house! We have a whole lot more rabbits around than ever before, don't know why. You are the most dedicated walker I know!

I love that first picture.
We are looking at sheds too. I'll be anxious to see what yours looks like.

Belated birthday blessings🎈🎈🎈🎈 And congratulations on walking so many years.
How do those pesky chipmunks man age to get the seeds out of your feeder?

Hi Karen! Wow, I commend you for 37 years of daily walks! Charly and I started walking together almost every day since about 1992. We walked mostly on the weekends, but in the spring and summer we walked around the neighborhood with the kids and Charly carried our then 2-year-old son who will be 35 in October! I hope you will post pictures of your new shed! Sheds can be very handy and provide a little more storage room. See you again tomorrow!

Congratulations on your walkaversary. That is truly something to have walked for so many years. Thanks for sharing the name of the flower...I think it could be that form the pictures I brought up. Janice

Happy belated birthday. That's some accomplishment on 37 years of daily walking. I'm impressed.
There is an Amish store that just went in recently and they have sheds for sale. Some of them are pretty fancy. I miss having a shed to store things in.. Mine collapsed several years back when we had a ton of snow followed by rain.

A belated Happy Birthday to you, my friend. When I saw the 37 years in the title I was curious to find out what milestone it marked because I knew that you and Ken have been married around the same number of years as we have. You've done a lot of walking in those 37 years. Good for you!

I'm excited for you that you were able to get the garden shed without having to build one yourselves. What a blessing!

Happy belated birthday and congratulations on your 37 year habit of walking! That's amazing. Smart decision to buy the shed. Your math made me realize I've lived the first half of my life in California and now the second half in Washington state. Have a great evening!
