Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A busy Monday

There was a mix of sun and clouds this morning when I went walking.
67 degrees and calm.

There is the main street in town.
Two streets on either side of the main street run parallel.
The street to the left is where both of the cemeteries and the
ball park are off of.
I walked up and down the left side first going around the cemeteries
and the ball park and walked back again.
Then I walked up and down the main street and back
towards home till I got to Sale Barn Rd and then back to town
and the Jeep.

Saw a woman walking a dog.
Bill was out working getting town trimmed up and neat
for the parade on July 4th.

Another grave was getting dug.
This one at the lower cemetery.

Remember that rabbit that was hiding under the car on Saturday?
Today the rabbit was in the same place minus the car!!!

Sorry for the poor quality of the picture.

⛅️    ðŸŠĶ    ðŸĪ—

A sunny morning so got the sheets washed and another load
washed and hung out on the line.
Dried super fast.

Ken and I started moving some things out of the garage and
into the new shed.
Hung up tools and got all the gardening things out there.
Had a bunch of flower pots and white plastic buckets under
the porch and got them cleaned up and put in the shed too.

Lots of junk came out of the garage that we put in back of the
pick up truck and took a load to the dump.
Still have lots to do but made a very good start.

All that done and then it was lunch time.

After lunch I washed the window box shelf over the kitchen sink.
Then washed windows, inside and out.
Ken helped me move the ladder around outside when I washed
the outside of the windows.
The big front window doesn't open but the two side ones do.
This is what I get to look at while I do the dishes.
Many times I watch the deer roam around.

Of course just as I finished washing the windows it rained!!!

Before it was time to get supper ready I knitted.

Supper tonight was roasted Italian sausage, potatoes, onions, and carrots.

Hope you had a wonderful Monday.
Thanks so much for taking the time to read my blog.

Happy Sunday

ðŸŽķ The Lily of the Valley ðŸŽķ
Charles W Fry

1. I have found a friend in Jesus,
He's ev'rything to me,
He's the fairest of ten thousand to my soul;
The "Lily of the Valley," in Him alone I see,
all I need to cleanse and make me fully whole.
In sorrow He's my comfort, in trouble He's my stay,
He tells me ev'ry care on Him to roll;
He's the "Lily of the Valley, the Bright and Morning Star,"
He's the fairest of ten thousand to my soul.

2. He all my grief has taken, and all my sorrows borne,
in temptation He's my strong and mighty tow'r;
I have all for Him forsaken, and all my idols torn
from my heart, and now He keeps me by His pow'r.
Though all the world forsake me, and Satan tempt me sore,
through Jesus I shall safely reach the goal;
He's the "Lily of the Valley, the Bright and Morning Star,"
He's the fairest of ten thousand to my soul.

3. He will never, never leave me, nor yet forsake me here,
while I live by faith and do His blessed will;
A wall of fire about me, I've nothing now to fear,
with His manna He my hungry soul shall fill.
Then sweeping up to glory, to see His blessed face,
where rivers of delight shall ever roll;
He's the "Lily of the Valley, the Bright and Morning Star,"
He's the fairest of ten thousand to my soul.

A Blessed Sunday to you.

Saturday

A mix of sun and clouds this morning when I walked.
67 degrees with just a little breeze.

First walked back down the road I had just driven up a ways,
turned around and walked to town.

Continued straight through town and to the industrial park
and walked around there.
Very peaceful with no cars.
Lots of bird sounds and off in the distance I heard someone laughing.

Walked back around town and over to the Jeep.

Didn't see anyone out walking but several people were out in their yards.
Some sitting on front porches, weeding the garden, cleaning out
the garage and another just walking around the yard.

I spotted a rabbit hiding under this car.
Can you see him?

ðŸŒĪ    🌞    😊   ðŸ‡

In the morning I met with the other ladies at
the library for Needleworks.
6 of us there today.

The other day we bought a nice juicy watermelon
and today for lunch I sat out on the porch at ate watermelon.
Nothing else just watermelon!!

We've started putting a few things in the new shed.
2 panels of white pegboard are up along the sides
and a countertop along the back.
The snow blower, power washer, and a lawn mower are on one side.
Now we just have to clean out the garage and decided all what
else goes in the shed.

A thunder storm came through this afternoon.
Sat on the porch till the rain started blowing on the porch.

That's it for today.
Happy Saturday and thanks for stopping by.

Gravestone, Blooms, and Fingerprints

68 degrees this morning when I walked.
It started out a bit foggy again but this time no
sun arrived and it stayed cloudy.

On the way to town I saw 2 deer down road from my house
and 2 more on the side of the main road to town.

Walked first around the lower cemetery,
then around town and over to the ball park and around there.
Then back to the cemetery on the hill and around
there a few times.

A quiet morning and didn't see any one else out.

I took photos of some of the blooms I saw around town.

This Fridays gravestone

😊    ðŸŒļ    ☁️    ðŸŠĶ

Another workday at church doing Fingerprints so left
right after breakfast.
Another low turnout but got good work done and had fun doing it.
The second work day we just work from 9 - 12 or so.
On the way home we stopped at McDonalds and had
some crispy chicken strips.
We ate them parked by the lake.

Rained this afternoon.
Still haven't had to water any plants.
We've been getting a good mix of rain and sun.

Friday, so once again we had homemade pizza for supper.

Hope you enjoyed your Friday and
Thanks for stopping by.

Work Day

 68 degrees this morning.
A little fog around at first today again but then sunny.

The fountain in the pond still isn't working and now the pond
is getting scum on it.

Walked up the hill to the cemetery, around there and around the long barn.

Coming back from the barn and headed to the other barn.

Next I walked over to the ball park and around there.
Anna and Mark were there again.

Continued around town and lastly around the other cemetery.

Isn't this a clever idea to get packages delivered to your house.
This is in their side fence.

I met one of the new walkers I seen around lately.
Her name is Taylor and it turns out she is one of the people I don't
know who waves to me when she goes to work each morning!!
Taylor is a teacher.
So now that it is summer she is home in the morning to go walking.

😊    ðŸŒļ    ðŸšķ‍♀️

That time of the month has come around again to work on
the Fingerprint Ministry at church.
So that's where we were all day.
Quite a few people on vacation and a couple are sick
so not a great turnout.
Still those of us there got good work done and had fun too.
Poor Laura though, she was moving the big fan and somehow hurt her foot.
Off to the ER she went and turns out she tore a ligament in her foot.
She came back and even in pain did some more work!!!
Laura is the one who sends me the Bible verse on a picture each day
which I usually post.

Looking forward to relaxing now that we are home.
No time to read blogs this evening so will catch up with you tomorrow.

Hope you had a great Thursday.
Thanks for stopping by.

Ann - All the buildings I mentioned yesterday were for us.  The old house we renovated was a small one and we lived in for almost 15 years and we were working on it the whole time.
This is the house. The garage is one of the ones we built.

A Daisy from Anna

When I got to town for walking it was 71 degrees and a
little foggy at first again, then sunny.

Walked a few times around the lower cemetery and then the
one on the. hill.
Walked all around the long barn by the cows and then to the
Drane house by the other barn.
The bulls haven't been there for a while now as you can see by all the grass.

Continued walking around town and the over to the ball park.

The fence has been put up around the pickle ball court.

Saw another woman walking her dog around the park that I've never seen before.
She was leaving as I was getting there.

A young lady Anna walks around the ball park
with her dad Mark once in a while.
She has some kind of a learning disability and is always smiling
and is a ray of sunshine.
She saw me and called my name and came over to give me a hug.
Mark said it would be fine if I posted their picture.

Anna spotted some daisies, ran over to them, picked one and gave it to me.😊

We said good-bye and they continued walking around the park
and I went back to the Jeep.

🌞    ðŸŒĪ    ðŸĪ—    ðŸĨū

When I got back home I took another picture of the shed.
It looks so at home there in the trees.
This is the first shed we've ever had that we didn't build ourselves
and there have been many.
Over the years we've built
3 garages
2 tractor barns
5 sheds
2 cabins
We also renovated an old house.

After breakfast we headed out to Lowe's.
Picked up a couple sheets of pegboard and a countertop
to put in the shed.

Next stop was Walmart for food shopping.
Home and had lunch.
Will put up the pegboard and countertop another day.

I did a little weeding around the yard this afternoon.

Later we had a thunder storm rumble through.

Hope your Wednesday was a good one.
Thanks for stopping by.

The Shed

70 degrees this morning and a bit of fog around first thing,
then sunny and calm.

First walked around both of the cemeteries.

A new resident will be arriving soon.

Saw the horses in the pasture down by the Drane house
so walked down there.

When they saw me they came walking over.

Then I walked down the main road back towards home a ways
before coming back to town.
Nice walking there because when the trucks drove by I
got a nice breeze. 😊

Continued through town to the ball park.
Walked around there and back to the Jeep.

ðŸŒĪ    🙂    ðŸĨū

The big news for us today is that our shed got delivered.
It matches the house perfectly.
It was amazing to watch the two men bring it up the driveway
and put it in place.
We watch a guy on YouTube who delivers sheds
and it was nice to watch someone doing it in person.

I recorded the arrival of the shed.
Here it comes up the driveway.

Past the porch where I am taking pictures.

Getting it put in place.

Leveled and ready.

A pressure treated board will be put on the bottom and
we will make a gravel ramp.

Supper tonight was chicken and potato salad.

Hope you enjoyed your Tuesday.
Thanks for stopping by.

Ann - We don't have AC either but we have 3 ceiling fans and there is usually a nice breeze so really don't need AC.

Deb - Yes, Pastor Leather is still our Pastor and has been here for 31 years.

Andrea - We have a great Pastor.  I wrote a post about him some years ago.  You can read it HERE.

A Book

A warm walk this morning at 69 degrees
with a mix of sun and clouds and it was calm.

First walked around both of the cemeteries.
Then over to the library and put a DVD down the drop.
The DVD was The Sand Pebbles with Steve McQueen.
I didn't really like it.
Was very long and depressing.

Then walked all around town.

Someone else is getting a garage built in town.

Lastly walked around the ball park loop and back to the Jeep.

Saw a young woman walking who I've never seen before.

⛅️     ðŸĨū    😊

I did housework all morning and got LOTS done.
A good feeling to have gotten so much of it done so early in the week!!

Pastor Leatherman, our Pastor has written a book
and it was just published and I'm quite excited about it.
I bought a copy last night.
It is 10 sermons on Revival that he has preached.
I started reading it this afternoon.😊

It got pretty hot today at 89 degrees.
89 degrees is quite high for here!!!
There was a nice breeze though so it wasn't that bad.
I got to use a brand new color for the first time
on the temperature blanket I'm knitting.
It is called Really Red.

I sat out on the porch this afternoon for a while.

Supper tonight was pasta and sauce with a small salad.

Hope your Monday was a good one.
Thanks for stopping by.

Sunday

Happy Sunday

Another hymn that we sang at church this morning.

ðŸŽķ Look To The Lamb Of GOD ðŸŽķ
- H G Jackson

1. If you from sin are longing to be free,
Look to the Lamb of God;
He, to redeem you, died on Calvary,
Look to the Lamb of God.

Chorus:
Look to the Lamb of God,
Look to the Lamb of God,
For He alone is able to save you--
Look to the Lamb of God.

2. When Satan tempts and doubts and fears assail,
Look to the Lamb of God;
You in His strength shall over all prevail,
Look to the Lamb of God.

3. Are you aweary, does the way seem long?
Look to the Lamb of God;
His love will cheer and fill your heart with song,
Look to the Lamb of God.

4. Fear not when shadows on your pathway fall,
Look to the Lamb of God;
In joy or sorrow Christ is all in all,
Look to the Lamb of God.

📖 John 1:29 📖

The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith,
Behold the Lamb of God,
which taketh away the sin of the world.

A Blessed Sunday to you.

Sunny all day

This Saturday morning it was 64 degrees with a mix of
clouds and sun as I walked.
Quiet this morning and didn't see anyone else out.

Started my walk going up to the cemetery and around there.
Went over to the long barn and walked all the way around it.

Then I walked down the other way and went to the Drane house
to see how the garden there looked.

Walked around the cemetery a couple more times and then
went to the other cemetery and walked around there too.

My friend KitKat was out and came over to see me.
The other day I saw him sitting on a porch of an empty house.
For those of you who don't know KitKat he lives with a family
across the street from the cemetery.
He is part of a family with 3 kids and two dogs.

I continued my walk going down the main road towards home a ways
and by the time I got back to town had all my steps in.

ðŸŒĪ    🐈    ðŸšķ‍♀️    😊

A little after breakfast I was off again to the library to
meet the Needleworks ladies.ðŸ§ķ
There were 6 of us there and the cookies were a hit.
Jalene took some home for Farmer Marvin. 🙂🍊

Some of the blossoms on our tomato plants have rotted off.
I read that too much rain will do that, and we've sure had our share of rain.
A couple of the blossoms on the cherry tomatoes made it
and now there are two little tomatoes starting to grow.

No garden shed yet but it will be here either Monday or Tuesday.
The regular delivery guys weren't there but will be back next week.
I'm thinking I'd rather have the regular experienced drivers deliver it anyway.
Things happen for a reason.

I finished knitting the two scrubbies for Debbie already and won't she
be surprised when I give them to her tomorrow at church.

The antibiotics that Ken is taking is doing the job.
His arm is no longer swollen and the red area is shrinking
and not very red anymore.
Thank you for your prayers.

The sun stuck around the whole day.
Spent some time sitting out on the porch.

We made one of those everything salads for supper today.

Thanks for stopping by.
Hope your Saturday was a sunny one too.
