Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

One Bull

29 degrees this morning with a light frost when I walked.
Clear and sunny and no wind so it was nice.
On the way to town I had to stop and let three deer cross the road.

Walked around both of the cemeteries.

Went down to the barn by the Drane house and there was only
this one bull there.
He came over to me and gave my hand a lick.

There was frost on the mirror by the cemetery.

Dropped off another DVD at the library down the drop and then walked
over to the ball park and around there.
Up and down some side streets and that ended my walk.

☀️    🌷    🙂

Drove back to church again this morning.
This time for Blankets for Babies.
Another ministry as been added and this one is Blessed Blankets
These blankets are bigger will be given out to people in nursing homes.
Both groups will meet together once a month like we usually do.
We had a good group of 17 women there this morning!!

On the way home I stopped at the library to pick up a DVD for Ken.

Weather stayed sunny and warmed up to 53 degrees so after lunch
we went outside to do some work.
Ken on his tractor and I picked up dead fall to add to my fence.
I have a lot of that to do.

After doing that for a couple of hours we sat on the porch.
David was out walking and popped over to say hi.

Supper this evening was left over lasagna from the other day.

I'll be doing some reading and knitting this evening
and of course having my ice cream!

That's all for today.
Hope your Thursday was a good one.
Thanks for stopping by.

Looks like your walk was a bit frosty this morning. Glad you enjoy walking...I certainly enjoy hearing about it and seeing your great pictures. I think I would enjoy that walk too! Off to church now for Holy Thursday services. All the best to you and yours.

What a sweet bull! I am so glad you are making blankets for nursing home patients...they have almost nothing to look forward to.

We are currently feeding five bulls which will eventually be turned out to pasture with the cows. There are a couple of them that love to be rubbed and a couple that steps back when I reach my hand out. The other one kind of comes and goes with it.

it was a frosty start to the day here as well.
What a nice greeting you got from that bull.
That sounds nice that two groups will be meeting every month. You sure had a lot of women show up for it.

It got up to 61 here this afternoon...but we had frost last night...26 F. The two groups of ladies getting together like that to make blankets (whether big or small) sounds like a lot of fun. Seventeen women is wonderful!

I have never touched a bull.

Looks like a cold, but pretty morning!
That looks like a nice bull. I grew up on a farm and my Dad always told us to stay away from the bull!

Isn't it wonderful to have your son close by and able to drop by for a chat whenever! I know I appreciate even a short visit from mine.
About the Blessed Blankets...What will they be made of and how big will they need to be?

UGH on the frost. Am so over Winter. Hope the making of the newest blankets will be a hit, as they are so much needed. Sometimes I think we forget our elders in the nursing and assisted living homes. Janice

Ha! That is fun that the bull gave your hand a lick! That is a good crowd for blankets. Another great idea on who to gift them with, too. Our Thursday was a busy one with out of the ordinary things accomplished. Hope you have a 'Good Friday'.

Lasagna is my favourite meal, we usually make it in the slow cooker and it is great.
