Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Saturday

When walking this morning it was cloudy, windy, and 41 degrees.
Sunrise 7:16
Morning Walk Steps 11,167

Walked around the block in town and by that time it wasn't quite
light out yet but not so dark that I couldn't see so I walked
around both of the cemeteries first.

Then went down the road toward home a ways before turning around
and walking back to town.
Just before I stopped to take this picture I disturbed about a dozen
deer and they all took off running.

Someone leaned the speed limit sign that got knocked down a while
ago on the guard rail.

Walked up and down the main road in town.
The sidewalk in front of the church is done.
The cones are still there but it is hard enough to walk on which I did.

The house they are taking down in town has all the siding off now.
The house was still full of furniture but I noticed today
that all the furniture is now gone and the house is completely empty.

No others out this morning and it was very quiet around town.

🙂    ☁️    🥾

It started raining on my way to the library this morning to meet
the ladies for Needleworks.
A full crowd today - 10 of us.
3 knitting
2 crocheting
4 doing stitching
and me making weave-its.

One of the books I had on hold had come in so picked that up too.

Finished one book and started another.

That's all I have for today.
Thanks for stopping by and
hope you had a great Saturday.

That's a good crowd at 'needleworks'.

I noticed that our library has started 'knit and knatter' sessions ... yes they did spell it with a 'K' apparently they hold the sessions in a side room so as not to disturb the quietness in the main library.

Wishing you a good weekend.

All the best Jan

It's sad that the old house was still filled with furniture.
Glad you had such a nice turn out at the library today.

It's wonderful that there is a group of yarnsters coming down to the library to spend time.

I wonder what the story is behind the old house filled with furniture that is being torn down now. Your knitting group always sounds like a lot of fun. We got some rain here today too! Have a good Sunday. See you then!

Deer are so graceful when they run. I would have loved to see that herd run when they noticed you.

I wonder what they did with all the furniture that was in the house. Maybe donated it? My mind always wonders about things like this.
10 was a nice crowd for your stitching group.

Who invented cones? Why? When? Was it a left over after eating all the ice cream?

God bless.

Too bad the deer didn't stick around long enough for you to get a picture of them!

In the first photo I noticed some spring greening on the hills. ❤️

There are two needleworks groups that recently formed here - one in the afternoon and one in the evening. Judging by the cars they look to be both well attended.

Sad to see old homes go into ruins and especially filled. Must have been a sight to see a dozen deer at once on your walk too. Janice
