Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Wednesday

32 degrees this morning when I walked in town.
Cloudy at first with some frost around but not long after the sun came out.

Sunrise 6:53 and my morning walk steps were 11,698

I walked around both of the cemeteries and the ball park.

The chickens were out again and this time they were all huddled together.
I was wrong about there only being 8 chickens left out of the original 14
because there were 10 of them today.

I stopped at the Jeep to drop off my coat and pick up a DVD.
Continued on over to the library to drop that down the drop and
then walked up and down the main road.

I walk past a couple of day care centers and notice that when the
dad drops the kids off, he's in and out right quick.
When the mom drops the kids off they stay a lot longer.
Just an observation.

What do you know, I saw someone out this morning.
RuthAnn walking her two dogs.

Saw KitKat again and saw him catch something.
Think it was a chipmunk and he ran off with it.
Glad he didn't bring it to me!!

There is a ton of grit all over the sidewalks from the snow plows
and Bill has started cleaning up the sidewalks.
You can see little piles every so often.

☁️    🌤    🙂

Home all day doing some work in the morning
and afternoon puttering about enjoying the day.

Hope your Wednesday was a good one.

Mari - Yes, that is a ukulele but neither Ken or I can play it.  It was Ken's grandfathers.

Ventana De Fota - La temperatura de ayer fue de 40 grados F.

Ginny - KitKat lives in a house across the street from the lower cemetery.  There are also 2 dogs who live there and 3 kids.  KitKat is happy and well taken care of.

...we got up to the high 40s, a lot of snow melted. It's mid season on some of the unpaved roads. Take care and be well.

When the snow melts, it always leaves a mess behind! Glad to see Bill is taking care of it.
I like the chickens.
The ukelele is a wonderful heirloom.

Your first photo is gorgeous! I have never seen chickens huddled together like this. No wonder Kit Kat walks around in the mornings, his household sounds hectic!

Hi Karen. I like the picture of the chickens all huddled together. I'm glad that it was nice enough that you could get outside for a walk today. Did you ever get the new flooring put into David and Liz's place? See you again tomorrow!

What a nice flock of chickens. I miss mine. I love these days when we can leave our coats behind.

I had a Cocker Spaniel that brought me not only a dead dove, but the leg of a rabbit he got. He was fast in his younger years. He even got my sons hamster and turtle....which I never told my kids he did. Just said they must have gotten away. I sure miss that dog. He was 9 when he passed and a good loyal dog to my kids. We are enjoying the 'leftovers' from melting snow here, too. Cute photo of those chickens. I like their coloring. The skies were beautiful!
