Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Walking in the activity center

6 degrees with more snow and windy.
Got up and walked a few thousands steps in the basement.

Babies for Blankets was cancelled because of the weather and we
have a good number of finished blankets.

Ken had planned on going to church with me and work on the cutter
 (that we use for Fingerprints)
while I was doing blankets.
We decided to go to church any way and left after breakfast.
While Ken did some maintenance work on the cutter,

I got the rest of my steps in walking around the activity center.
 150 steps one time around.🥾

After that was done we stopped at Walmart and did a bit of shopping.

Next stop was Lowe's to pick up boxes of wood flooring.
While the David and Liz are in Florida this week we are going to
surprise them and install their new wood flooring in their cabin.

By this time it was after lunch and we were hungry so we stopped at
MacDonals for a burger and parked by the lake to eat which is frozen
and snow covered.

Just down the road a bit some crazy people were participating in
The Deep Creek Dunk.
You wouldn't catch me jumping in ice cold water in 10 degree weather!!!

Nice to get back home and spend the rest of the day in a nice cozy home.

Some yarn that I had ordered arrived and was sitting on
the porch when we got home which was nice.

Hope your Thursday was a good one and you stayed warm.
Thanks much for stopping by.

Deb - Sorry, the puzzle board was a gift so don't know where it came from or how much it costs.

The Activity Center at your church is beautiful...and it looks like the perfect place for indoor walking.

Good idea to walk in the activity center.
You wouldn't find me jumping in water in that weather either. It's been cold and snowy here too, but next week it's supposed to be better. Hopefully it will be for you too and you can get back outside.
Love the idea of surprising David and Liz! You two are wonderful parents.

My daughter did one of those cold water dunks one year . . . I thought I had raised her to be smarter than that, LOL

Hi Karen. No cold water dunks for me either. No way! Wow, that is great that you are surprising David and Liz with new flooring! How nice! They will love it! You made good use of your time by walking around the activity center at your church while Ken was fixing the cutter. Your church sure has a nice big activity center. Glad you had another good day. See you again tomorrow!

My husband likes those cold water dunks. I think it did something to him back when he was in the Arctic and the Antarctic and they all would dare each other. They attached rope so they could pull them out if need be. lol.
Nope I like swimming pools with crystal clear water where I can see the bottom!

How nice of you for gifting a floor to David and Liz and installing it. That is so kind.

Sounds like a full day!

You would think that jumping in water when it is that cold could stop your heart! You must have froze while going to all those places!

Hello,
Looks like a great day, nice you could get some steps in at the activity center. The Deep Creek lake photo looks pretty. They had a cold morning for the Polar plunge in the Chesapeake Bay this year. Thinking about it gives me goosebumps. Take care, have a great day and a happy weekend.

Our weather is about the same as yours. We got quite a lot of snow since yesterday and it's still coming down.
That activity center makes for a nice place to walk when you can't get outside.
I would never jump in freezing cold water either. Those people that do it are either brave or crazy. Not sure which...lol

That is a nice big activity center! What a nice surprise that will be for David and Liz. Hang in there. Soon you'll be walking outside again. :)

That sure is a cold view but it's nice to have a place to walk inside. It sure has been a bitter cold winter! Hugs!

Wind warnings here for the next few days and of course, rain. You wouldn't see me jumping in that cold water either. :)
