Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Sunday

 Happy Sunday

A hymn we sang at church this morning.

Footsteps of Jesus
Mary B C Slade

1. Sweetly, Lord, have we heard Thee calling,
"Come, follow Me!"
And we see where Thy footprints falling,
lead us to Thee.

chorus
Footprints of Jesus that make the pathway glow;
we will follow the steps of Jesus where’er they go.

2. Though they lead o’er the cold dark mountains,
seeking His sheep,
or along by Siloam’s fountains,
helping the weak.

3. If they lead through the temple holy,
preaching the Word,
or in homes of the poor and lowly,
serving the Lord.

4. Then at last, when on high He sees us,
our journey done,
we will rest where the steps of Jesus
end at His throne.

📖 Psalm 17:5 📖
Hold up my goings in thy paths, that my footsteps slip not.

A Blessed Sunday to all.

Phil knows this hymn, I don't think I do.

Today we had a singer sing “Nothing but the blood of Jesus”. She sang it to a different tune than the hymn but it was beautiful.

My church is looking for a new worship leader. I'm not thrilled with the one who is filling in right now, but I'm not in charge. sigh
