Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Baking

Just like yesterday it was 50 degrees and cloudy and no wind.
Sunrise 7:06
Morning Walk Steps 10,157

First walked around both of the cemeteries and then over to the ball park and around there a couple of times.
Continued all around town up the main street and some sides streets.

The Christmas decorations have been put up along the main street in town.
There are different lighted decorations like this one all along the main street.
There are about 20 or so of them and all are different.

Quiet around town and didn't see anyone else out walking.

People have now moved into the little dark house next to the white one.
They must like dark colors.
Black car and the furniture on the porch is dark as well.
I would have put out some nice bright furniture and maybe a bright wreath of some kind on the door.
I think it is a cute little house though.

☁️    🦃    🙂

Today was a stay at home day to get things done.
Washed and hung out clothes but it started raining so had to take them in and hang them on my drying rack.
Rain didn't last long but wasn't going to hang them all back out again.

Did some baking this morning.
Every year I bake cookies for the Drane house Christmas cookie sale and this morning I made the first batch with two more to go.
They always ask me to bake Welsh Cookies.

Next I baked some Pumpkin Bread.
I like this recipe because it makes three loaves at a time.
Baked one for us, one for Thanksgiving, and one for David and Liz.
I'll bake some little ones at a later date to give out as gifts.

With the baking done for the day I got some house cleaning done too.
Then had time to do a little reading and sewing some more weave-it squares together.

Supper today was Baked Spaghetti Pie and a small green salad.

Hope your Tuesday was a good one and thanks for stopping by.

Deb - I've collected the milk bottles over the years at antique shop and auctions.  They are scattered around my house.  Some on windowsills and shelves.

Janice - I'll be posting a milk bottle on my blog every Monday so you'll have to check in to find out how many I have. 🙂

Mari - Some of my ancestors come from Friesland also!!! 🙂🌷🇳🇱 That is the reason I picked up the bottle when I found it.

...I like the black house, but it might look dated with time.

I am with you, maybe a wreath or a few potted plants. Looks gloomy!

Baked spagetti sounds so yummy. Great comfort food for a November evening:) I kind of like the dark house...although a little color on the porch would look happy!:)

I would be with you on adding something bright to the dark house. There were two or three built around where we used to live. The baked Spaghetti pie sounds good.

That is a cute house, but I agree that it needs some bright accents.
I love that first photo, the color of the sky is so pretty.
I make pumpkin bread that is almost identical to yours and it also makes 3 loaves.
Maybe we have common ancestors in Friesland! :)
