Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Wednesday

34 degrees this morning and cloudy when I got to town at 6:30 and started walking.
Didn't see anyone else out around town.

Walked up and down the main road and most of the side streets.
A couple of loops around the ball park and both of the cemeteries.

Passing by the pond I see that the geese have come back.

The field behind the upper cemetery is getting cut down.
Did you spot the geese flying off to the right?

Morning Walk Steps 13,095

☁️    🙂    🍁    🎃

Ken made cheese omelets this morning for our breakfast.
Then I got to work doing my housework for the day and was done by lunchtime.

The man came today and measured the apron of the driveway for the paving we want to have done and will give us an estimate this week.
Said he would try to fit us in this year but couldn't promise.
It sure would be nice to have it done before it snows - will make plowing and shoveling so much easier.

I took everything off my hutch, gave it a good dusting and put different things on it.
Now my yellow and red FiestaWare are being displayed which are nice Fall colors.

Read some this afternoon till it was time for supper.
Took chili out of the freezer for supper this evening.
Seemed like a good choice for this dreary cool day.

Hope you enjoyed your Wednesday and thanks for stopping by.
HappyK🙂

Ellen - Yes, you're right, my walking every morning does make my whole day more organized.  The rare days I don't walk nothing seems right.🙂

...that burning bush sure is putting on a show. It might be difficult to climb those stairs!

Your pictures are beautiful, as always... especially the first one.

This week has definitely been soup weather!

Hope your driveway will get taken care of this year before the snow begins. I will be praying.

I love that fall porch - looks so fun and festive! The red bush is beautiful too. I hope you can get your driveway fixed the way you want before the snow flies! Have a good Thursday. See you again soon!

The red shrub in that first picture is stunning.
I like the arrangement of Mums and pumpkins in that last picture. No so fond of the cat though.

Yes I saw the geese! I live near a sanctuary and the geese are always flying above. I love hearing them.
