Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Wednesday

Clear this morning and saw a whole sky full of stars - so pretty.
By 6:25 I was in town and walking.
47 degrees with a bit of a breeze.
Sunrise 7:22
Got to walk in the light and sun for a little while.
Didn't see any people about, maybe they are waiting till later when the sun is full out.

Had my usual walk all over town and the two cemeteries and the ball park loop.

Took this picture from the cemetery of the Drane house.
You can barely see two pumpkins by the door.

Farmer Marvin has started cutting down the corn.
The corm from these fields are used for chicken feed.

The chickens are usually scattered all over the yard.
Today they are huddled together.

Nice to be out walking on a crisp Fall morning.

☀️     🍁     🙂     🎃

Another load of laundry got hung out on the line.
Won't be long before I won't be able to do that anymore this year and will be hanging them on my drying rack over a heating vent inside.
Did the usual house chores and then it was lunch time.

Another beautiful sunny day and went outside after lunch.

I collected more rocks and put them in the dry brook I'm making.
It's coming along nicely but still have lots more rocks to put in it.
Finding rocks is certainly NO problem.
They seem to grow and multiply here.

After I got tired of doing that I went off for a walk in the woods.
Walking along it is hard to believe that all this woods is ours.
Ever since I was a little girl and went walking in the woods back then I always dreamed of having my house in the woods.

Supper this evening was chili and I didn't have to cook it.
The crock pot I made of it Monday makes three meals!!
Two down and more meal to go.

Hope you all had a great Wednesday.
Thanks for stopping by.

How lovely that you are enjoying the woods you dreamed of living in. Happy Wednesday again. I made it here on the same day as your post! :)

Those trees by the Drane house make that photo worthy of being used for a postcard.

I admire your zest for walking. I never developed the habit. Clearly, you see more when you taking life more slowly.

I like the collage you made......sky, clouds and a few treetops.
I like making a recipe of something that provides lots of leftovers.

Love the picture of the Drane House.
It's been cold here in the mornings. I've been debating about turning on the furnace.

Love your fall pics - especially the trees against the sky. Chili is a wonderful meal to have when the days start cooling down.
