Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Walking Morning and Afternoon

Walked mostly in the dark again but it was 50 degrees, clear, and no wind.
Sunrise was 7:44
Morning Walk Steps 13,163

Had my usual walk all over town up and down all the side streets, both of the cemeteries and the ball park.

Made a stop again at the library to put my latest book down the drop.
Very quiet around town again.
Didn't see anyone else out.

Did you notice my foot in the leaves?

🎃    🍁    🍂    🙂

This morning we both had dentist appointments to have our 6 month cleaning.
I'm back to taking cookies along with me to give them - chocolate chippers this time.
I couldn't do it during Covid and last time I asked if I could start bringing cookies again and they were all for it. 🙂
Ken had a great visit.
Unfortunately I have to go back again to have an old filling replaced.
Just a small one though.

Did the bare minimum housework for the day and then I was outside walking in the woods again.
Too nice to stay inside, don't know how many of these warm sunny days are left before the snow comes.
Though I do like walking in the woods in the snow too.

Some pictures I took walking around Happy Trails.

With the leaves off the trees it revealed a birds nest and a hornets nest.

Right in the middle of this picture if you look closely you can see Farmer Marvin's long barn that you see on my morning walks.

A short video of the sound of me walking in the woods in the leaves.

Ken and I sat out on the front porch again for a little while.
This time we ate a banana.

Well, that's it for today.
Hope you Wednesday was a good one.

I love that photo of the leaves with your foot. The sound of crunching leaves is such a recognizable Fall sound.
We have oak trees in our yard and those leaves don't fall quickly, they are just starting now. Your trees are pretty well done it looks like!

I see the barn! The pic with your foot on the leaves, the ground is just wild with leaves from the colors! Your walking sounds like the crunch of cereal!

That looks like a nice hornet's nest! I did not see one this year. Last fall there was one I saw every time I went to Walmart. What a nice place to walk..

Scuffing my feet in fallen leaves is something I love to do too. This morning I was able to walk for a short walk and I'm hoping soon to be doing the usual round-the-lake walk.
