Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Later in the morning

Sunrise this morning was 7:45.
Decided to go walking a bit later so I could walk in the sunshine.
I first did a load of laundry and got that hung out on the line.
Made us French toast for breakfast, did the dishes and then went to town at 8:30.

I thought I'd see more people out walking since I was later but that wasn't the case.

It was a beautiful warm sunny morning with a temperature of 60 degrees with a bit of a breeze.

Walked around both of the cemeteries and the ball park and then up and down the streets around town.
Took a walk around the pond on the grass too.

Pictures I took along my way.

Though I did enjoy my walk there is just something different about walking the first thing in the morning seeing a new day start.

Got some housework done this afternoon and then did some reading.

Liz stopped by for a while.
David is coming home tomorrow mid morning from being in Hawaii for the month and Liz will be picking him up at the airport in Pittsburg.
With the 6 hour time difference he'll have to readjust to the time!!

This is the time of year that I can see some specular sunsets with the leaves off the trees from the front porch.
This one is from last evening.

That's all I have for today.
Thanks for stopping by and hope your enjoyed your day.

All of your pictures are stunning, Karen. I understand what you mean about something special about watching a new day begin when you are walking. I hope you have a lovely weekend.

It must be the cooler temperatures, but the skies this time of year are particularly beautiful. Add in the changing colors from the trees and the crispness in the air, no wonder it’s my favorite season. Now would I want to live in perpetual Fall - maybe 2 months more of it and then we could proceed on the calendar. It seems to go by so fast.

You take amazing pictures! Somehow the light seems to be just right and so clear.

...I love your first image. Now that corn is being harvested, some barns are reappearing.

I really like the first and last photos. There is something about that barn with the corn field all cut that just speaks to me.
Glad David will be back soon!

Hi Karen. All of the pictures are stunning in this post. I think the sunset shot is my favorite. I love sunsets! Glad to hear that David will be back tomorrow. I know you will be glad to see him after a month! Yes, he will have quite the time adjustment, but I am sure he had a nice visit with his children. Have a good Friday. See you then!
