Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Tuesday

35 degrees this morning in town and cloudy.
Was to town and walking at 6:30 and the sun rose at 7:28 though I never saw it.
After walking about an hour I felt a couple of rain drops and then soon after a light drizzle started and lasted the rest of my walk.
Wasn't supposed to rain till later so I didn't wear my rain clothes and got a bit damp.

Walked up and down all the streets around town, the ball park and the lower cemetery.

A collage of some pictures I took along my way.

RuthAnne was out walking her two dogs and Rebecca was out in the drizzle walking Leo too.

Now that the corn is cut I can once again see the long cow barn and the other barn from the cemetery.

I hurried past these witches and skeletons in a front yard I passed by. 😨

We went to the DG Market after breakfast to pick up a couple of things we needed.
Then back home to get some house chores done.

This afternoon I went through some more of my clothes that I don't wear anymore and will donate them.  Everything is in good shape I just haven't worn them in so long.

This month I will be giving the devotional at Babies for Blankets and got that ready for Thursday.

Then I read till it was time to make supper.
Tonight we're having chicken a-la king.

The sun finally made an appearance late this afternoon but by then it was too late to get anything done outside.
It rained again later while the sun was still shining.

I enjoyed this day and hope you enjoyed yours too.
Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by.

The trees are starting to turn really pretty. Surely that isn't real fire with the witches? But it really looks like it!

You had a chilly start to the morning. It's cool here, but we only hit 40.
The maple leaves are so pretty!
You had a productive day!

Your town looks so Fallish. Nothing here yet. I had a good day as well.

Hi Karen. Going through the closet and donating unworn clothing is always a good idea. I have done some of that lately and I need to do more. Did you ever find out a way to keep donating the baby blankets to the hospital? Glad you had a nice day. See you again soon!

We had rain 🌧️ off and on all day today. It was beautiful when the sun 🌞 finally came out late this afternoon.
Your collage of pictures from your walk are so pretty. I think you have a little more color than we do around here.

I will admit to being a bit envious of all those beautiful colors. Your pictures are gorgeous! We are in a drought here so you can imagine how different the surrounding countryside looks.

It's been raining just about every day here for at least a little bit. Fall is definitely showing itself in your area.

I love the photos you shared...I think you have some beautiful fall color. Daughter works downtown and said they had sleet. We had a couple times where it rained and you could tell by the sound that it was cold, cold rain but I dont think we got sleet...we are about ten miles from where she works.
