Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Pond Fountain

37 degrees, just like yesterday morning with frost.
Once the sun came over the mountain is was sunny.
In town and walking at 6:30 and the sun rose at 7:24.
Found a dime and two pennies
Morning Walking Steps 13,389

The fountain in the pond has been turned off and won't be on again till spring.

A random walk all around town, up and down all the streets, both cemeteries, and the ball park.

Didn't see any people about and no school so no buses or school traffic.

Chickens were all in their coop staying warm I guess because I didn't see them.

A quiet walk this morning but glad to be out there walking.
The No Soliciting sign gave me a chuckle.

 ☀️     💰     🎃    🍁

This morning we went to the quarry with our dump trailer and got 2 tons of gravel. After lunch we went and got another couple of tons.

While we were there we stopped and asked about getting the apron of our driveway paved.
Craig is going to come out and take a look at what we need done.
They are booked up though so might not be able to do it till next year.
We were hoping it could be done by winter so it would be easier to keep the snow off with the tractor.

Dug the winter bedspread out of the chest and put in on the bed now that the nights are getting chilly.

Spent the afternoon reading The White Robin. Read my reply to GrannyM.

Happy Friday
Thanks for visiting

Ginny and Mari - the porch in yesterdays post is NOT mine nor are any of the other Fall decorations.  The pictures are from town along my walk.

Mari - No, didn't buy the washing machine.  Still looking around. Won't buy one till mine quits working altogether.

GrannyM - You were so right, I did enjoy reading The White Robin. It was such a delight!! A little book that I read in one sitting!

This sign is hilarious! A great way to turn people away while giving them a laugh.

Your comment on The White Robin sent me on a search...hoping for kindle or audio, so far no luck on either one. I bet you take that back to the library soon...LOL It would be an expensive book. I like the NO Soliciting sign, too. I keep telling daugher we need one...Copper goes ballistic if someone actually rings it. He barks enough if he just hears one on the TV.

It was very frosty for you this morning!
The No Soliciting sign is great!
You're smart to be checking out washing machines now, you'll be ready when yours really goes.

I think I sent my copy of The White Robin to my sister. I should tell her to treasure it because it doesn't sound replaceable.
I like the No Soliciting sign. Much more amusing that my simple brass one beside our front door.

You've had a couple of good frosts, winters coming :)

I don't think we've gotten down into the 30's yet but we've had low 40's. I've been thinking about pulling out my winter comforter for the bed.
That porch sign is funny.

Love the fog over the pond, the mums and pumpkins and the cute sign. The mornings are cold here, we did not have any frost yet. Have a great weekend.
