38 degrees with clouds and a little blue sky and sun once the sun rose at 7:30.
Thought this looked a bit unusual with the fog at the bottom, and the layer above of clouds and some blue sky.
Walked up and down the main road and some other streets in down, same streets as every day but in a different order.
Both cemeteries and the ball park I walked around too.
Rebecca was out this morning with Leo.
I've never seen this before.
An eye ball on the side of a house that turns different colors every few seconds.
Also saw it turn green and and blue.

After breakfast it was time to go to church for Babies for Blankets.
We went together and Ken drove the truck.
He dropped me off and then went and did a few errands around Oakland.
Then he loaded up the church trailer with the Romans books that are all boxed up.
Tomorrow we will bring them to Bedford, Pa and pick up the next pallet of scriptures.
The trailer came home with us so we can leave right from the house in the morning.
Blankets went well and there was 9 of us there this time.
Denise brought the food and I did the devotions.
It was kind of sad without Sandy but she would be happy that we will continue this Ministry that she started.
Many of you know that we cannot give the blankets to the babies in the hospital anymore because they are from a church.
Well we now go directly to the doctors and they have been giving them out to the mothers when they come to the doctors office.
It is working out great and so far every one has taken a blanket with thanks.
They each get a gift bag with the blanket, a letter inviting them to our church if they don't have one of their own and a few other little items.
This afternoon we framed My Father's Promises counted cross stitch I made.
You can see it HERE.
We ended up having a nice sunny day though it was a little chilly.
Happy Thursday and thanks for stopping by.

...fortunate newborns.
God was so gracious to open this door for the blankets! I'm so happy!
I loved the first picture!
Hi Karen! That cross stitch really turned out well. You did a great job. That will be a lovely and thoughtful gift for your pastor and his wife. I am so glad that you found a way to continue "Blankets for Babies." See you again tomorrow!
That's good you have found a way to continue with the blankets for babies.
Lovely first photograph.
All the best Jan
That first photo is so pretty and interesting. I'm glad you figured out a good alternative for giving new moms the blankets and other good news.
I am so glad you can continue to give the blankets to the babies....you never know what it can lead to.
Not sure I would want an eyeball on my house...LOL
The eye is very different! I imagine little kids would like the color change but not what I would want on my house.
I'm so glad you have a way to distribute the blankets!
I believe there is a thing as being TOO politically correct! And this is sure it! That hospital is nuts! But who knows, maybe God knows of some ladies at the doctor's office who will be so blessed by this.
It's creepy and weird.
So now blankets are political? who knew, someone must have a suspicion that those are Trump blankets, that can somehow be traced to Mar-a-Lago,
I'm so glad you found a way to still give the blankets out. It seems so silly to refuse them simply because they came from a church.
That big eyeball is quite interesting. I've never seen anything like it. There is a house down the street that has dancing skeleton lights.
Love the sky and colorful tree. I am so glad you found another way to donate the blankets for babies. Take care, have a great day and a happy weekend!
So glad you are still creating the baby blankets. There are so many moms that I know will appreciate them. That was a weird picture of the sky with the fog at the bottom. The wonders of nature. Have never seen those eyes here yet. Everyone up here displays those huge skeletons....plus skeleton horses and now huge dogs. Janice
Hi Karen :) I'm glad you found a way around the hospital rule for the blankets. Next they will stop the clergy from coming to pray with people. The eyeball on the house is just weird. I do love doing counted cross stitch :) And your weather sounds perfect!
So glad you were able to get those baby blankets to those in need. LOVE the way the cross stitch turned out. Awesome Job!
Oh for goodness sakes. A church giving out baby blankets … Just ridiculous. Glad God opened another door!
Just another subtle form of persecution of the Christian church.
Glad to hear that you have another outlet for the baby blankets.
I assume that the ever-changing colourful eyeball is there for Halloween!!!
The blanket ministry is so special. It's a wonderful thing. I didn't know that hospitals don't accept blankets because they come from a church! At least you can take them to doctor's offices. Another idea might be to a pregnancy crisis center for mom's to be.
Have a great weekend.
That eyeball certainly is a different sort of Halloween decoration! Beautiful framed cross stitch!
