Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Pink Peep Monday

I arrived in town for my walk at 6:25 and the sun rose at 6:47.
Wasn't quite light out yet, not that dark either but
I did walk under the street lights at first.
It was 55 degrees and sunny - no fog this morning.

Walked up and down and all over town.
Then it was around both of the cemeteries and the ball park loop.

I saw Rebecca out walking and also John and Prim.

Lots of sunflower blooms on just a couple of plants.

Pretty quiet around town because of it being a holiday.

A nice cool sunny morning and perfect for getting the sheets
washed and hung out on the line.

I spent most of the morning in the kitchen.
Baked some more English Muffin Loaves.
We never buy English muffins anymore, the loaves are so easy to make.
Next I made Macaroni Salad to go with the grilled hotdogs for supper.
Then it was time to clean up the mess I had made!!!

A friend from church came by today to see Ken's train layout.
He missed the open house we had back in the winter.
He stayed 2 1/2 hours looking at it.
Ken had planned on taking the layout apart but I think he
may have changed his mind.
I've taken pictures of his layout over the years
and this LINK will show you some of them.

Well this week Pink Peep is trying to get someone to
play Chinese Checkers with her.

Happy Monday and thanks for visiting.

I used to play Chinese Checkers with grandson M but at 15 he's not so easy to convince.

I don't think I knew you when you posted the train setup. It is amazing. Some of the photos look like real people and landscape!! The sunflowers are gorgeous, and it is good to see Pink Peep!!

I like the sunflower picture - perfect for Labor Day.
You had a good day and made me think I should have made macaroni salad to go with our grilled hotdogs. We had baked beans per my husbands request.
I remember Kens train layout from before but it was good to see it again. It's really incredible!

Love the sunflowers. They are a favorite. I'm going to have to try your English Muffin loaves. English muffins are getting awfully expensive.
I haven't played Chinese checkers since I was a kid. I wonder if I would even remember how.

The sunflowers are very pretty. I never did learn to play Chinese checkers and still don't understand it. I usually play chess and regular checkers. That's a nice looking board that you play on.

Pink Peep looks nice with the Chinese Checkers. It has been ages since we've played Chinese checkers. I should get a game and teach our Grands to play. The sunflowers are so cheery! Sounds like a great day in the kitchen.
