Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Heart Leaf

60 degrees this morning and cloudy when I got to town for my morning walk.
It was bit windy too.  At the end of my walk it started misting and rained soon after I got home.

I walked up and down the main road and side streets in town.
Then around the ball park and both cemeteries once.
Continued over to Sale Barn Rd and up there a ways and back down again.

I saw John walking Prim when I first got to town.

These cute scarecrows are standing in the lobby of the hair salon in town.

Pretty quiet around town this morning.

Pretty dreary weather today.
We were going to go shopping at Walmart but decided to stay home.

Did a bit more of housework and then once again got to work on the cross stitch.
Worked till my eyes couldn't take any more.  I'm to the point now that I want to see it done.

Supper tonight was meat loaf, mashed potatoes, and peas.

That's all I've got for today.
Happy Wednesday and thanks for visiting.

But the beauty is in the walking.

...your dinner sounds great, it's time for us to have metal loaf too.

It's a perfect heart! Dinner sounds yummy! Have you ever tried a cold thinly sliced meatloaf sandwich spread with mayo? They were one of my favorite treats.

It's really looking like Fall there! I love the first shot from up high. And the heart leaf is pretty!
I need to make meat loaf again, it's a favorite for Bob.

Such beautiful pictures of the outdoors! We went to Oakland this morning but decided to not go as early as we normally do because we saw that Garrett County had a dense fog warning out. By the time we left though, it wasn't bad at all.

Your supper sounds delicious!

Meat loaf sounds so good, and we haven't had it for a while. Maybe we will have that for Sunday dinner! Thaks for the idea. See you again soon!

I like the tree in the second picture, the one that has turned colour now for Fall. So pretty. So is the heart-shaped leaf. This time of the year I'm forever bringing home coloured leaves and things like horse chestnuts.

Beautiful view in that first picture. It's starting to look a little bit like fall around there.

I bet there are no crows customers at the salon.

God bless.

We had a Redbud tree that had heart shaped flowers and purple flowers in the Spring. It died and I sure do miss that tree. Janice

Hi Karen! Yum! Your dinner sounds wonderful! I'd like a little rain around here. It's still very warm. I hope your fall is off to a lovely start! xo

Your pictures look like postcards. They're so pretty. That is a perfect heart leaf. I haven't made meatloaf in a while now, we usually have mashed potatoes and peas too with meatloaf.

I like that quote. You can miss so much when you are focused on the destination and forget to see all the things along the path.
