Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Wednesday

67 degrees this morning and cloudy with a breeze
when I got to town and started walking.

Had my usual walk around both cemeteries, the ball park, and up
and down all the streets in town.

I stopped for a little while to watch a truck at the grainery getting loaded.

A couple of people out walking who I don't know.
I saw sheila's car in the parking lot but never did see her.
Stopped to talk to Eileen (Kermits's wife) who was in front
watering all her potted flowers.

This morning we drove down to CN Metals to pick up some
metal roofing that Ken needed for a project him and David have been working on.

I did a bit of changing things around in the pantry.
Needed better organization on the shelves.
I'm happier with it now.
Love having a pantry.

Started a new book this afternoon.
Another Ann Perry book, Revenge in a Cold River.
After this book there is only two more in the Monk Series.
There are 24 in this series and I have enjoyed every one.

Well guess that's all I have for today.
Thanks for coming by and have a happy Wednesday

I would have found it interesting to watch the truck at the grainery. I did some rearranging in my pantry last week and it's such a good feeling going in and being able to find what I am looking for.😊

Years ago when I had my daycare, any time there was some cool, involving big trucks, construction etc, I pack up the kids, and a snack and we’d check it out! Little ones love to watch our adult world and ask the cutest questions.

Interesting sky in that first photo. I love having a pantry, too. It's the first one here for me. Happy Wednesday evening to you.

Surprise, surprise, surprise . . . I actually went for a walk today. One of my girlfriends and I packed a picnic lunch and drove up to a lovely Lake that has a nice path alongside of the lake. We had Beulah with us and we walked the path it was so nice to get out and get exercise. Why can't I do this by myself, like you do? Seems like I can't motivate myself but if I have someone with me I love to walk.

I always enjoy watching trucks at a granary.

I love seeing the corn this time of year.
My Dad was a farmer and I remember how I loved riding with him to go to bring loads to the granary. You brought me a good memory today. :)
Don't you love cleaning and organizing a cupboard? Always makes me feel good!

Hi Karen. Sounds like you had another nice, productive day. Yes, pantries are nice to have and well-organized pantries are even better! See you again tomorrow!

Karen,
“I stopped for a little while to watch a truck at the grainery getting loaded.” Some of those trucks come to the Grain Terminal I walk by here in Seattle. From there, the grain is loaded on ships bound for Asia. This is an interesting process and I can see why you stopped and watched for a while.

I love the granary photo. It was 108 here today so your temps of 67 sound heavenly.

The sky in the first photo is gorgeous.

I would have stopped to watch that truck get loaded too. A pantry would be nice but if I had the extra space I would probably only let things pile up and they would end up a mess.

Such interesting things to see on your walk. I don't know that I've ever seen a granary. I may have and didn't know that's what it was. The cemetery walk would be interesting. Some people get spooking walking around a cemetery, but I find it fascinating.

I enjoy rearranging my pantry too. Right now there's a bit too many things packed in there so next cool day I'll get to that job.
