Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Through the hedge

Only saw one deer on my way to town!
Temperature was 68 degrees and cloudy.
I saw John and Prim when I first got to town and
Joy when I finished walking and going back to the Jeep.
Since I hadn't seen in her a while we stopped to talk.

Started out walking back down the road towards my house.

Then turned around and walked through town and up and down
some side streets.
Made my way over to the DG Market and walked the road behind
there and then the main road of the industrial park.
On the way back I walked up the road behind our old house in town.
By the way we moved from that house to our current house
6 years ago this month!!

I saw part of a rainbow while walking.
It was faint and didn't show up so great in the picture I took.

Queen Anne's Lace seem to be blooming all over the place.

Thought this hole in the hedge looked mysterious.
Maybe it opens up to another world. ๐Ÿ™‚
Not really, just an open field on the other side.

Got a load of laundry hung out to dry and finished up the
weekly house chores this morning.
Sun came out mid morning and another nice summer day.

Worked some on the counted cross stitch.
Doing a part now that has me changing colors often so it is really slow going.

More porch sitting and reading before supper.
Supper was ham, green beans, and mashed potatoes.

We started watching a British series yesterday that Jalene recommended,
The Coroner and we liked it enough to watch more of it.
Got the first season from the library.

That's going to be all for today.
Happy Thursday and thanks for stopping by.

I was noticing some queen anne's lace today too. So pretty!
Thanks for the recommendation of The Coroner. I just saved it, we are lovers of British Crime Shows.

Your supper sounds delicious. Also, hard to believe it has been 6 yrs since you moved. In one way. In another it seems you have always been where you are now. I will have to check out that series. Right now I am rewatching Bletchley Circle...

The Queen Anne’s lace is so pretty. Love that hedge. Wow, maybe it’s a portal into the past. What if, you walked through, and entered a different period of time. Back in the present, the gardeners decided to cut it down and you can’t get back. Scary. I enjoy time travel stories but only if I will be able to get back to the present!

Six years? I can't believe it!
The photo of the little opening into a field is lovely! You should frame it! Take care! xo

Hard to believe it's been 6 years since you moved to this house. Time goes by so quickly. Love the mysterious hole in the hedge. The sunshine at the end of the tunnel makes it even better.
I am envious of your cooler weather. Here it was once again 30C.
