Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Wednesday

Sunrise 5:49
61 degrees when I was at town and walking at 6:20.
A mix of sun and clouds and a nice breeze.

The geese family was out of the water and walking around.

Also spotted a opossum.
I usually see them dead in the road but this one was very much alive.

I walked around both of the cemeteries and then over to the ball park.
Back to the pond and then up and down the main road and all the side roads.

Today I didn't see anyone else out walking.
I saw Shelia's car but never saw her.
Kermit was working in his yard and told me he just saw a
mother skunk with three babies just before I got there.
Too bad I missed them.

These petunias look like they got splattered with paint.
So pretty.

Little tiny apples have started already.

Put some chicken in the slow cooker
and then shredded it all up for future suppers.

The nice sunny morning turned into a cloudy rainy afternoon.

A good afternoon to putter about the house.

Happy Wednesday and thanks for stopping by.

Debby - Ken is still in bed when I leave on my walk.  He gets up an hour or so later and has his quiet time before I come bursting back in the house.

GrannyM - Groundhogs are also known as woodchucks.

...I love the goose family, we see them here too. Often opossum can only get halfway across a road. Summer has arrived here!

I would like to see a goose family...I think the babies are so cute. It sounded like a good morning to walk...but then it always does.

The daisies are so cheerful! I really like those petunias too. I never saw that type.
Today we had a few deer, a baby bunny, orioles and a mama and baby groundhog outside our window at work. :)
Nice to get that chicken cooked and shredded!

The picture of the opossum is pretty cool. Glad you had another nice walk. See you again tomorrow.

I had those Petunias either last year or the year before. If I remember correctly they were called Night Sky.

Baby skunks sound adorable! Though probably best to avoid them...

How much wood can a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

I love the field of daisies! For the first time this year, I saw the polka dot Petunias! they must be a really new thing.

How fun to see the family of geese. I don't know that I have ever seen a live possum. I see them how you usually do, in the road, dead.

Possums are such a funny looking animal to me. They do eat things we don't want around. I bet baby skunks are really cute. Happy puttering!
