Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Sunny

 Sunrise 5:49
On the way to town I had to slow down for a couple of deer and a rabbit.
Got to town and starting walking at 6:25.
It was 58 degrees, sunny and breezy.
One of those mornings when the air feels so crisp and clear and smells fresh.

I was able to get a little closer to the geese family to get a
little better picture of them.

I walked through town first and then around the ball park loop.
Back to the pond and around both of the cemeteries.
Then it was up and down the main road and all the side streets.

I couldn't get inside the gate at the Drane house.
One gate was padlocked and the other I just couldn't open.
I leaned over the fence and took a picture of the garden.

Saw quite a few people out again.
The guy was out running his laps around the ball park.
A woman was out walking her two dogs.
Ruth Anne was walking her two dogs.
Sheila was running.
Farmer Marin stopped his truck and we had a few minutes chat.
Saw Kinsley getting dropped off at day care and she came running
over to me to say hi.
She was excited because it is the last day of school.
She is getting big, I no longer have to bend down to get my hug!!

☀️    ☀️

While walking the thought of a pancake for breakfast
sounded good so that's what we had.

A perfect day for getting some laundry done.
Dried in no time with the sun and breeze.

Turned pretty windy, but at least the sun was still shining.

We went out to do a few errands.
Took our trash to the dump.
Stopped in the DG Market to get a gift card and
went to the lumber yard in town.

Back at home we decided to take the ATV for a drive around
Happy Trails.
Stopped by to see David and Liz.
When we got back home I knitted for a while
and then it was time for
PIZZA.
🍕

Happy Friday and thanks for visiting.

It felt like a cool crisp Fall day here today. It was nice sleeping with the windows open. Pizza sounds good. We had grilled Italian sausages with peppers and onions, potato salad and devilled eggs. A Summer time meal for us. Hope you have a great weekend. ps may have to make some pancakes this weekend for breakfast too. Janice

It looks like such a pleasant day...wondering if the wind is always blowing there? I somehow don't think it does but have nothing to base that thought on. I would love to see the Drane house and garden in person.

Hello! Happy Saturday, my friend. Your walks sound lovely, and your photos are beautiful. My favorite part of this one, however, is the pizza!

It's pizza here tonight too!!

I've often wondered if your friend that runs, is her name Sheila or Shelia?
Second oldest daughter here is Sheila but I wondered if there was an alternate spelling?
