Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Farm Loop

 Sunrise 5:49
On my way to town I saw three deer and two rabbits.
A little chipmunk darted across the road too.
The temperature was 58 degrees, it was sunny with a breeze.

This morning my walk took me around the farm loop.
When I walk outside of town I bring by walking stick with me
just in case I run into dogs or anything..

Some pictures I took along the way.

Didn't see any people and only 2 cars passed by till I got to the main
road back to town.

The farm loop is about 4 1/2 miles so still had some steps to go
so I walked around the upper cemetery a couple of times.

In town I saw the woman walking her two dogs again,
Rebecca and
Sheila.

Stitching morning at the library.
There were 7 of us there.
A new woman (Holly) joined us today with her young daughter (Emily).

I took along some of those Viking cookies to share.
They were a big hit and next week I'm bringing the recipe for them.

Emily was working on some embroidery and she put her needle down
and then lost it.
We all looked all over for it but never did find it.
I took the cushion off the chair and felt around it and wouldn't you
know I found a penny. ๐Ÿ™‚

Nice that our little stitching time is growing and we now have 9 people
who belong to the group.

Another nice sunny, on the cool side and breezy day.
Really beautiful weather.

We spent some time watching a few deer wander around out back.
I was sitting on the front porch when down the driveway
went the mama deer and her baby.

Hope you all enjoyed your Saturday.
Thanks so much for stopping by.

I like how you say the farm loop is "only" 4 1/2 miles.
How cool that the mama and baby deer walked right past on the driveway

Hiw wonderful that Mama Deer parades her fawn for you to see and photograph! Is that your long shadow in the first photo? I love the tree shadows across the road in the one shot.
