Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Blooming Wisteria and a Dogwood Tree

A friend gave us a small Wisteria plant when we first moved into this house.
Last year we just had a couple of blooms but this year we have LOTS of blooms.

The purple flowers come along first before the greenery on this kind.

As promised here is the picture.

Snapped a picture of the Dogwood Tree as I walked around the cemetery one morning.

A couple of pictures from my walk this morning.

Every year our church has a Mother/Daughter luncheon.
Today instead of having it at the church it was held at The Hen House,
a restaurant near Frostburg.
I invited Liz to come along with me and we had a lovely time.
This is the third year we've gone together.

I really do miss being part of the blogging world full time so on Monday
I'm coming back.  Just couldn't stay away.  Didn't even make it a month.
People have suggested I just blog once or twice a week but I can't
do it half way.

Have a wonderful day everyone.

Wisteria is a hardly plant with a sturdy root system. I had one for years growing on my fence. It was holding the fence up! It broke my heart when new neighbors put up a new fence and had to tear out the wisteria. I remember on hot days the seed pods popping and hitting the side of the house.

Hi Karen! So glad that you and Liz went to the Mother's Day luncheon together. That is so nice! I love your wisteria bush. It has really taken off. The dogwood tree is pretty too. I am sure glad that you are coming back to blogland. It truly hasn't been the same without reading about your daily walks! See you on Monday!

That wisteria is gorgeous. Love your other photos from your walk too.
So glad you'll be coming back. I'm an every day blogger and often people have told me to not push myself so much. I really do enjoy daily blogging though

I don't blog EVERY day but I do enjoy reading others' blogs especially the ones that have spiritual content. I try to do a weekly Faves post (from Susanne at LIving to Tell the Story) and I tend to write devotional posts or book reviews. I guess I should write about my own daily walks and show photos now that i'm retired but not sure how interesting it would be....although I do enjoy yours!
