Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Laybugs

 Another nice morning for walking.
Got to town at 6:40 and sunrise was 7:08.
It was 25 degrees.
Clear skies and sunny once the sun came over the mountain.
Morning Walk Steps 12,910

Bright enough to begin my walking going around both of the cemeteries.
Then over to the ball park and around there.
Continued back through town and down the road toward home a ways
before turning around and getting back to town.

A skunk was somewhere around.
Didn't see him but sure smelled him.

Pretty quiet around town, no walkers, no workers.

🌤

Got the last of my weekly cleaning done which was the bathroom.
I usually use ammonia diluted with water for cleaning the shower
but today I used diluted vinegar instead and liked it much better.
So from now on I'll be using that.
It is always hard for me to get the bottom of the shower nice and white
on the textured surface.
I let the vinegar sit there for a couple of minutes and it turned
a nice bright white again.

This afternoon we made a real good start doing our taxes and almost got done.
We use turbotax and to it together.
I did the typing and Ken shuffled through the papers.

This is the last of my measuring spoons.
Don't use these but they too hang under a cabinet.
These also came with a ladybug which holds a steel wool pad which I keep
on the windowsill above the sink.

Thankfully we never lost power with all that wind yesterday.
We are supposed to be getting snow overnight.
Hopefully I'll still be able to walk in the morning.

Thanks so much for stopping in.
Happy Friday

Hi Karen. Charly started on our taxes today. He uses the HR BLOCK tax program. Taxes are always a good thing to have finished! I love the cute ladybugs. I hope you don't get too much snow so you can walk outside tomorrow. That's a good tip about using diluted vinegar in the shower. I will give it a try. Have a good Saturday. See you again soon!

That was good you didn't lose power yesterday, and you were able to enjoy a nice morning walk.

All the best Jan

Good for you and Ken for getting on the taxes! There's always a sigh of relief when they are finished at our house.

I like your measuring spoons. Ladybugs are cute.

We are supposed to get that snow too tonight. Winter isn't over yet. Some of the biggest snows we have had since we moved here almost 24 years ago happened in February.

The ladybug set is adorable!! We are to get the snow tonight; between two and four inches and gone by morning. But they have not treated the streets, which is unusual! This is mating season for the skunks. I'm glad you switched to vinegar, ammonia fumes are not good for you!

I usually do our taxes with Turbo Tac, but this year we had them done because of some unusual things to deal with like an inheritance. I didn't want to mess anything up and have the IRS after me. :)
The ladybugs are cute too!

I did my taxes on the 3rd with Turbo Tax and surprisingly my return was already deposited in my account. It was super fast this year.
Love those measuring spoons and the holder for the steel wool.
We had snow over night and this morning the ground is covered. Not a lot just enough to make everything look nice and clean.

Hello,
Pretty capture of the pond, it is a lovely scene.
Your Ladybugs are cute. The skunks are smelly.
My hubby does our taxes. A job he does not love.
Take care, have a great weekend.

Shower cleaning is one of my least favorite jobs. I will try the vinegar tip the next time I can motivate myself to do that job. Anything to make it easier.
I saw a ladybug on my screen door today and instantly thought of you :). I'm sure these spoons add a lot of cheer to your kitchen.

I did our taxes with FreeTaxUSA. It was so easy but our returns are pretty simple and we already got our federal return back. I use vinegar for just about every cleaning job in our house including putting a small cup in the dishwasher ever time we run it! I like your ladybug measuring spoons.

I've used diluted vinegar on so many things (including my wood floors). It works well. What ratio do you use...water to vinegar?

The only ladybug items I have are push pins for my bulletin board.

My daughter would love these ladybug spoons. We had an inch of snow overnight, but it s=did not last. Janice
