Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Sunshine

Still a bit dicey for walking in town this morning so
I took some laps around the basement.
But by afternoon the sun was shining and it warmed up from 14 degrees
to 32 degrees so I went to town after lunch and walked in the
light and sunshine.

Got to town at 1:30 and walked around town and one of the cemeteries.
The one cemetery and the ball park were snow covered yet
and I wasn't sure if it was on top of ice.
Nice to get outside to walk and I found plenty of places that I could walk.

I saw a man who I don't know walking his dog and I'm so used to be
out in the morning walking that I said Good Morning.
He just looked at me and didn't say a word.
(I did say I mean good afternoon)

Where ever I've lived I notice that in general morning walkers are more friendly.

I don't know how many walking steps I took because didn't check on my
steps before I left.

In the morning I got the last of this weeks cleaning done
and then worked on the snowman puzzle.

Friday and you know what that means.
PIZZA

Todays Fiestaware are 5 oz juice tumblers.
They were discontinued in the 50's.
I have two ivory but NO turquoise.

Hope your Friday is a good one.
Thanks for stopping by.

Hi Karen. Snowy day here today. Glad you could get outside in the sunshine. See you again tomorrow!

You sure have had some cold weather. WE have a big storm predicted for next week. We'll see if it happens.
I've never seen Fiesta Ware tumblers.

On the rare occasions when we walk in the afternoon we have to watch or we wish people Good Morning too. I agree that early morning walkers tend to be friendlier than those later in the day.

Hi KAREN,
I know you've had trouble with my Blog- if you 'UNFOLLOW' my Blog then 'FOLLOW' this should solve your problem with not placing comments on my Blog. I've re-joined your Blog doing the same thing to help. Best Wishes. KEV. (Sydney -Australia).

Wow, I can't believe that man didn't say hello back. I may not always hear people when they speak to me but if I do I'll return the greeting.

Hello,
It is amazing when I think 32° feels warm. We are expecting some snow today and tonight. I hope it is not too bad. I usually try to say good morning/hello to people we pass on the trails. The tumblers are colorful and cute. Have a great weekend.

We always speak and smile when we pass other walkers. Some are nice and some will just stare us down without a word. I do not understand how people can do that but I will always continue to show my kindness.
I would love to have a view like your for my walks.
It’s cold and rainy here today.

It's sad that the guy felt no response to your greeting was appropriate. How rude.

Glad you are the friendly walker! :) Those cups are fun and knowing they were discontinued so long ago makes them more special.

I am a friendly Walker anytime of the day, but those I meet on the trail never utter a word. Maybe it is because I don’t speak the language of the animals and birds on our hill. I enjoyed this post.
