Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Stacking bowls

I'm starting to sound like a broken record.
Walking inside again.
Not only do I walk loops around the basement I also walk
loops up stairs in the house too.
I needed a little variety!
More snow and only 9 degrees this morning.
One good thing is that the wind has died down.
Sunrise is now 7:36 - finally getting lighter each morning.

Usual Monday house chores this morning.

David and Liz and us went to Brenda's for pizza mid afternoon when they
got done with work.
Nice to do that again, it had been a while since we were there.
That was a late lunch and early supper combined.

Finished up the puzzle last night at 11:45 just before going to bed.
This is only the second time we've done this one so will save it
to do again another year.

Some more of my Fiestaware, this time mixing bowls.
There are seven stacking bowls but I've only been able to find three sizes.
My step-dad gave me the big red one for a present many years ago.
They made lids for the four smaller sizes but I've never seen one.

There are 7 sizes and when stacked together they are almost 20 pounds.
Largest bowl is 11 1/2 inches and the smallest is 5 inches.
Large red is a number 7
Ivory 4
Blue and red number 2

Took a picture of a picture to show all 7 of the bowls stacked in all
six colors.
Love how they look all stacked together like that.

That's is for today.
Happy Monday and thanks for stopping by.

I'm obsessed with stacking bowls according to size. I would love a set of bowls that stacked together like this.

The bowls are lovely and sturdy. I have never seen the mixing bowls and didn't know Fiesta even made them. The puzzle is pretty, especially the reflections on the street. Looks like the 50's.

Oooh - I really like those bowls stacked like that. I bet you use them a lot.
Here it was 1 degree when Bob went to work. He said in one hour the temp doubles! :) Now it's 8 degrees and it just keeps snowing. We're up to 2 feet now. It can quit, and I bet you're ready for it to be done too so you can walk outside again.

We have decided that 750 pieces is our limit for puzzles! I admire that you can do 1000 piece puzzles.

Hello,
Nice puzzle! I like the photo of all the bowls stacked.
It is always nice to have a family dinner, pizza would be my choice.
Take care, enjoy your day!

That's one thing I remember about the Fiesta Ware, is that it's heavy! But so pretty!

The pizza invite sounds so good! I've been craving pizza lately :)

Those bowls are so pretty. I need a new mixing bowl, one big enough to mix up a big cake or such. I have a stainless steel one ( I think that's what it is made of), but I also need one as big that can be put in the microwave. The ceramic one I have now is too heavy for me. I hope I don't have to settle for a plastic one.

Hopefully soon you will be able to walk in town again. We have storm warnings for tomorrow ( Wed) so I doubt we'll be able to walk. January weather can be nasty.

I had aunts who collected Fiestaware. I admired but never aquired any. I did, however, enjoy all the edibles served or stored in my aunt's Fiesta ware. The photo you posted fantastic.LC
