Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Pink Glow

Still not able to walk in town and got most of my steps inside
though I was outside this afternoon.

This morning about 8:00 I took this picture from the front door.
This is facing west!
The whole sky was this pink color - so pretty.

Baked another batch of chocolate chip cookies for tomorrow.
We are giving the train open house another try.
It is supposed get warmer and rain tonight and then turn to snow tomorrow.

We went outside and cleared the way of snow down to the basement
door so for people to walk down there.

I walked around outside a little and tried walking around happy trails
but it was too hard walking.
Some places I stepped in snow that went half way up to my knees.
The snow is hard because there are layers of frozen snow.

The Fiestaware photos continue.
Today are Nappy bowls.
There are two sizes.
Small ones 8 1/2"
Large ones  9 1/2
Don't have all six colors in both sizes.

The name of these bowls makes me smile
because when we were in Scotland a diaper is called a nappy.
Nappy for these bowls means open serving bowl.

Looking forward to pizza in just a little while.

That's going to be all for today.
Thanks for stopping by.

John - I've had that header for ages!!  Funny you should mention the header because I've been thinking about changing it to a winter scene.

I have always been told pink or red sky on the morning would bring bad weather...snow or rain. It is a pretty one though. Janice

That is a beautiful sky!
I hope the weather is ok and you have a good turnout for the open house.
I think of the same thing when I hear nappy! :)

I was going to ask you what the bowl name means! I would call them cereal bowls or maybe even soup bowls. The pink sky is gorgeous!! Goodness...we have had no snow here at all yet.

My Mom always referred to small dessert bowls as nappies.
The pink sky is unusual and sure pretty.

Glad you said what a nappy bowl was. I was curious. I've never heard the term before.
That morning sky is so pretty.
Hope all goes well for the open house today.
