To town and walking at 6:35

Morning Walk Steps 13364
Driving to town I saw a couple of deer.
No people about this morning and didn't even see any school buses.
Can't think why there would be no school today.
Walked to the library first again to drop off a book this time.
Then continued through town and over to the industrial park and made
a loop around there.
Back through town, down the main road toward home and finally
made my way to the lower cemetery.
It wasn't soggy so I could walk around it.
Nice to see KitCat out this morning.
It's been a while.
Walked up the hill to the other cemetery and went around there
a couple of times and that ended my walk.
☁️ 😄 🐈
I was occupied this morning doing house chores.
By the way I really like the scrubby dish cloth I knitted out of
the scrubby sparkle yarn.
It seems to give all the dishes and glasses and extra sparkle.
I suppose that could just be my imagination.🙂
After lunch we took our garbage to the dump.
Next we stopped in at the library to pick up a DVD.
More reading and knitting for me this afternoon.
I have a small collection of nesting dolls.
(five of them)
This first one is my favorite and has the most dolls.
On the bottom it says
Made in the USSR.
I bought it back in the 80's when we lived in Virginia
at Spotsylvania Mall at a Kiosk.
There are 8 dolls.
The biggest is 7 inches tall
The smallest is very tiny at just under 3/4 of an inch.
A close up of the last two.
That's it for today.
Happy Wednesday and thanks for stopping by.

Ginny - No, we didn't do anything special for our anniversary, but then again we think every day is a special one for us.
I didn't post a picture of the hutch with the Fiestaware yesterday because I thought everyone was getting tired of seeing the dishes, 🙂 but here's a picture for you and Connie.

Hi Karen, wow, your snow melted right away!
I have had two sets of Russian dolls over the years, both actually from Russia but in one of our many moves they disappeared.
Love your Feistaware and your hutch is gorgeous.
Enjoy your evening.❤️
Robin
Thanks for the photos. I just love the way you arranged the green and white dishes, it is gorgeous! And your hutch is beautiful, I would love one just like it. I had always thought the nesting dolls originated in Russia, but don't really know. I think I will google it.
Hello! I absolutely love your nesting dolls! I was up today at 6:00 with the puppies. And now I am on the couch with a blanket and some sleepy pups.
...I love your nesting dolls. Our son when he lived in Nepal bought us a set of nesting Santas.
Thanks for the photos. Your green and white arrangement of the dishes is gorgeous! And I love your hutch, wish I had one just like it. The first nesting boxes were invented by the Chinese, and they also then made the nesting dolls. But Russia is famous for them, as they made the first carved wooden ones.
Your hutch is lovely. I admire your patience for puzzles. I always run out of steam before it gets finished.
Karen, your hutch looks so pretty with the green and white. And I like your idea about anniversary celebration. ❤️
That's a different shape for the nesting doll, straight. Fun set. Our church is having a 50's diner theme for our Valentine's day couples dinner. I like the green and cream in your hutch!
It looked gray and wet here today too. I like seeing Kitcat again!
I have 2 sets of Nesting Dolls. They each came from Russia when my sister and BIL were there adopting my 2 nieces. They are fun, and right now Cassie loves them!
The green and yellow Fiestaware looks nice on display.
I have alway liked the nest dolls. I found a Vintage broach, with tiny nesting dolls dangling from it, at a yard sale once.
I never wore it but it’s cute.

I like your nesting dolls. I once had a set; I wonder whatever happened to it.
I’d love to have more nesting dolls. I only have the one set - given to me as a gift from my friend from Poland when she went to visit family.
Your hutch looks so pretty with the green and yellow.
Love to see your nesting dolls. They are lovely. Thanks for sharing.
(I have a set of Santa Claus’s that are nesting dolls. They are one of my favorite Christmas items.)
Hi Karen. I love nesting dolls! That's a really interesting looking puzzle. I love that you and Ken make every day special. That is the best way to live life. Have a good Thursday. See you again tomorrow!
Those nesting dolls are cute.
Love the way your hutch looks with all green and white plates in it.
