Our driveway didn't look so good for driving down with icy snow on it,
but I gave it a try anyway and made it to town and started walking at 6:40.
It was 31 degrees with a little wind.
Sunrise was 7:27.
Walking didn't seem that bad at first but I did have to watch
where I walked because it was slippery in places.
Walked out of town and down the road toward home.
The shoulders along the road were good for walking.
But after a while little balls of frozen snow started falling
and freezing on my sweatshirt.
Didn't feel so good on my face either so I turned around
and headed back to the Jeep.
Had a short walk of only 7,224 steps.
Got the rest of my steps in at home in the house.
As you might have guessed no one else was out walking!
🙂 🌨 🎄 ☁️
Always those house chores to do and got them done early.
Both boa scarves for Kinsley are done.
Ken is still putting those candy peanuts around the house.
One each day.
They are getting pretty stale now but still tastes good.
Here's the latest place he put one.
Stayed cold all day and cloudy but we didn't get any more snow.
Started reading another book by Anne Perry and
started knitting another wash/dish cloth.
Easy supper today of hot ham and cheese sandwiches.
Probably a few potato chip on the side too.
Happy Monday and I'm happy you stopped by.

I shivered just looking at your walking photos! Cute idea hiding those candy peanuts here and there. The boas are lovely. I'm sure they'll be much appreciated. Have a great week.
The road does look slick, glad you stopped.
...it was dry, windy and COLD here today. The boot ornamental is wonderful.
I just think that your husband hiding the circus peanuts around the house is so sweet and fun! The boa scarfs look great. I’m sure Kinsley will love them.
Looks very dangerous walking out there. It's freezing here. But no snow yet.
God bless.
The road looked quite slippery, a good decision to return home.
I do like Kinsleys Boa scarves.
All the best Jan
Kinsley is going to enjoy the boas you made for her. Glad you were safe on your walk this morning. I think you had more ice than we did. Your hot h and cheese this evening.
hubby and I gave up walking on our public road as drivers not courteous at all, very dangerous. So we finally have found a safe local 70 acre park about 7 miles from our house to take a safe daily 4 mile walk. almost 2 inches of rain yesterday and very happy it was not SNOW! be safe out there, Karen, but from previous posts, it looks like you are.
I'm glad you stayed safe out walking. It looks nasty out there.
The boas are so cute! I know Kinsley will love them.
I like the cute Christmas stocking ornament.
It's wise to take care while walking in winter. No one wants to fall and get hurt. Good to know you're cautious. gM
Very cool that your jeep was nearby.
Hi Karen, The images in your Sunday post are just spectacular! In today’s post it is amazing to read about your walk in the icy conditions. Your short walk of 7,224 steps is a testament to true dedication. Extra credit for you for finishing at home. Wow, what a day! Thanks for sharing. John
It looks cold out there. I saw a few stray snowflakes but we didn't have any accumulation at all.
Hot ham and cheese sandwiches sound really good.
Hello,
We woke up to an inch of snow on the ground. It was a heavy slush, at least the roads were clear. The scarfs are so cute! I like your ornament, very pretty. Take care, have a great day!
Cute scarves!
I'm smiling that 7224 steps is a short walk. Glad you were safe while you were out there. The boas are so nice. We had a simple dinner, too.
Guess you had some nasty weather move in. I just wish we had a little bit of snow. Pretty scarves! Janice
