40 degrees this morning for walking and I got to town and started walking at 6:22.
Sunrise came along at 6:55.
On the way to town a fox ran across the road.
A little drizzle on the way but once I started walking it stopped and didn't start again till I was back to the Jeep to come home.
Morning Walk Steps were 13,670
Walked down the main road and over to the ball park and walked around the loop a couple of times.
Then up and down the side streets.
Lastly walked around both of the cemeteries.
Didn't see anyone else out walking but I did see Farmer Marvin in his truck and he stopped to say hi.
I stopped at the pond and threw a couple stones in the water to watch the ripples.
This little guy was out taking his morning crawl.
I usually see these with a bit of orange on them but he was all black.
When I got back home I walked down to the end of the driveway to our mailbox and picked up yesterdays mail and while I was there took a picture of one of my neighbor cows.

We had to make another trip to Lowes today.
Ken had to exchange some plumbing parts and pick up a few more.
While he was picking out parts I went walking around the store.
I did that the other day and found a cute little 4' artificial Christmas tree with lights to buy.
It will be just perfect in the living room corner by the windows.
This time when I walked around the store I came back with these ornaments.
I think next time Ken will leave me at home so I can't buy anything!! 😀
It was snowing like crazy when we left this morning but nothing stuck and by afternoon the sun was shining.
We got back home in time for lunch and after we ate I just couldn't get excited about doing any work.
So I worked on the puzzle for a while, then read and knitted again.
Will be having our Friday night pizza in just a little while.

Deb - It was decided that we would read a short story for December's book club meeting because people were going to be too busy to read (not me 🙂) so we are reading The Gift of the Magi by O'Henry. I have a book of all O'Henry's stories and this story is only 6 pages long!!
Bill - Have no idea how Sale Barn Road got its name but I'll ask around and see if I can find out.

I like the ornaments you found. They have an old fashioned look to them.
I read somewhere that the size of the black stripe on a caterpillar will tell you how severe a winter is going to be. According to folk lore, the bigger the black stripe, the more severe the winter is going to be.

Beautiful shot of the pond and ripples. Christmas items are all out in the stores here now too.
Nice decorations and a pretty cow. My neighbor's cows are all dark brown, called Devon cows,coming out of Williamsburg stock. A breed that needs to be preserved from what I understand. They and their bull are all very sweet. I'm happy to have cows for my neighbors.

I would love to do that together with you: throwing stones into a mud puddle. I enjoy it too. Beautiful Christmas things in your photo. But the cow, I find it even more beautiful.
