Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Friday

I walked a bit later in the morning like I did yesterday.
To town and started walking at 7:20 and the sun rose at 7:47.
It was 30 degrees and calm.
So calm that the pond was like glass.
I know I take a lot of pictures of the pond but I just couldn't resist another one.

Walked through town and over to the DG Market and then walked on the road behind it to the end and back again.

From there I walked around the ball park.
No snow left but the frost almost looks like a dusting of snow.

Lastly I walked around the lower cemetery.

Once again I didn't see anyone else out walking.

What a beautiful morning for a walk.
Lots of sunshine.

🙂         🚶‍♀️         ☀️

Got the last bit of weekly housework done in the morning.

We went to library to pick up a DVD that we had on hold and picked up a few other DVD's to watch.
Sometimes we get lucky and get a good one.
Many times we watch the first 15 minutes and decide this is not for us.

David and Liz came by in the afternoon and we all had a piece of Ken's birthday cheese cake.  It sure was good.

Ken made us pizza for supper.
I made him cook even on his birthday,
Not really, it is what he wanted.

Lighthouse Number Thirteen
This one has no markings on it and is bigger than the others.
Pretty sure it is another Cape Hatteras Lighthouse located in NC.

Happy Friday and thanks for stopping by.

Debby and Deb - Have no idea if those red berries from yesterday are edible, but I notice the birds haven't eaten any.

Hi Karen. I love the sunrise picture. Do you have any recommendations of good series to watch from the DVDs you check out of the library? So glad that David and Liz could get together with you to have some cheese cake and celebrate Ken's birthday. I hope you have a good weekend.

...the viburnum berries are edible. A common name is highbush cranberry.

Karen, I don't know which picture is the most breathtaking...the sunrise or the pond! They are both beautiful!

When I first looked out the window this morning I thought it had snowed again, then once it got daylight I realized it was just a heavy frost.

I love it that Ken cooked his own birthday meal! I have a brother just like that. I know he enjoyed his birthday cheesecake!

What a gorgeous sky!
I don't think any of us will complain about pictures of the pond.
PS - I thought of you when I posted my Friday Funny. I knew a cloud would never stop you from walking, rain barely does!

Some things, like that pond, are just too pretty to not take their picture often.
You must be the only one that's willing to brave the cold morning to go out for a walk.

The pond is beautiful! It's hard not to take pictures of water. It's so inviting. And I can't believe you already have snow!

I would be taking a lot of pictures of your pond as well. It is beautiful. I love the shot of the maple leaf on the coniferous tree.

What gorgeous pictures you brought home on this day. I never get tired of seeing that beautiful pond. I love the blue blue sky reflected in the water. I wish I could quit thinking about cheesecake. :~)
