Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Lighthouses

Got to town and started walking at 6:20.
Sunrise was at 7:32.
The temperature was 50 degrees.

It was supposed to be raining but hadn't started yet when I left the house so I didn't wear rain clothes.

As I got out of the Jeep I felt rain drops and thought oh oh here it comes but by the time I walked a half a block it had stopped.
It did that several times while I was walking and then at the very end of my walk it starting raining in earnest.

I walked up and down all the streets in town and then around the ball park loop a few times.
Never made it to the cemeteries.

Pretty dark when I start out.

This tree that looks like it is right next to the house isn't there at all.
It is a shadow!!

Didn't see anyone else out walking, but maybe it was just to dark to see anyone!! ๐Ÿ˜„

The latest development on the lot for the modular home have the concrete holes covered with tarps.
Was going to go and lift up a part of the tarp to see what exactly was covered up but it was too muddy.

Morning Walk Steps were 12,818

Spent most of the day getting my house cleaning done.
Instead of doing a little bit each day I did all of it today.

Late afternoon it was so nice to sit down for a little knitting.

For supper we are having roasted hot Italian sausage, pepper, and onions.
It will be ready in another 15 minutes and it already smells delicious.

Happy Friday and thanks for stopping by.

Yeo at times, that rain wants to tease you! Good walk though. I only did one modular home in my building career, I imagine they want to keep that as dry as possible, I know at least a truck will pass thru unless they are keeping is dry as possible to work a slab. But you are right, you woluld have to see to be sure. [-)

Lighthouses, how cool! My favorite is the first photo of the beautiful yellow leaves.

Your morning walk is dark now. It's dark on my drive to work too.
I love lighthouses and have some like yours that are Lighthouse from Michigan.
How was your supper?

We carry a flashlight when we set out walking but halfway through it's light enough not to need it. It's weird though to have someone coming the opposite way as us and looming out of the darkness.
I assume you've visited these lighthouses and these are souvenirs?

Being as dark as it was I probably wouldn't have made it to the cemeteries either! Your dinner sounds good!

Love the shadow of the tree on that house. It's always fun to see a lighthouse!

Love the picture of the house with the shadow of the tree!

Our son-in-law loves lighthouses. This one of yours is very nice. When we were in Maine visiting our son's family spring before last, we visited several lighthouses.
