Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Stopping for a drink

Great weather for a morning walk.
60 degrees, sunny, with a slight breeze.
Got to town and started walking at 6:23 and the sun popped up at 6:31.

Walked the Farm Loop.

Said hi to a few people along the way that were outside in their yards.
George was driving by and slowed down to keep pace with my walking and we talked while I walked.

Back in town I saw Rebecca out walking.
I haven't seen Phil the Wiggleman or his car all week and today I noticed his Wiggleman signs were down.
So stopped in at the garage to ask about him.
Was told he doesn't work there anymore and is now in Kingswood, WV.
I sure will miss his cheery hello every morning.

The little chicks in the yard by the ball park have gotten pretty big.
They are starting to get their color and are almost as big as the adults.

Morning Walk Steps today were 13,194.

🙂         ðŸ¥¾         ☀️

Baby blanket work day at church so spent the morning at church with the ladies.
There were 9 of us there today.

I left a little early and went to visit my friend Bettye.
We had a nice visit while sitting out on her front porch.
She was the one I made the lemon squares for yesterday.
Saved some out of the middle and was still able to give them to Bettye.
The very well done sides I cut off and Ken ate them.
He said it still tasted good.

The deer like to come by and get a drink out of the bird bath out back.

Happy Thursday

Mary - Yes, yesterdays corn picture is the same corn I've been taking pictures of.
Ellen - The house in the picture looks longer than it really is.  Must be the angle and almost half is the garage in front.

So nice that you were able to stop by and visit with Bettye. I am sure your lemon squares were very good - overdone or not. See you again tomorrow. Have a good one.

You had a beautiful walk today! I love the sunflowers.
I'm sorry that Phil the Wiggleman has moved.
Glad you got to visit Bettye. I bet she enjoyed that too.
We've been seeing some baby deer at work, love to see them.

How fun to visit with Bettye and walk in your beautiful country area. Lemon bars, yum.

This is the first I have ever seen a deer drinking from a birdbath! The sunflower field is beautiful! And your second photo...I love how the sun is shining on the houses far away in the distance.

Lemon bars are so delicious that I'm sure even slightly overdone ones would be yummy. How nice to see the deer come for a drink.
I missed commenting yesterday but I wanted to say how much I liked those red buttons!!

Our deer visitors like to drink out of the bird bath, too. I think it's a nice height for them. Thanks for clarifying about the house. Glad there were enough nicely done lemon bars for Bettye.

My favorites are the sunflowers, the chicks and the deer.
The view of the road is pretty too.
Take care, have a great day and happy weekend!

Too bad that the Wiggleman moved.
That deer just makes itself right at home. I hope that while it's there getting a drink it doesn't help itself to a little snack from your plants.

The deer knows where a drink is available.

We are all going to miss Wiggleman. Your pictures clearly show what a beautiful day it was for walking.
